Aronofsky Looks To Team Up With Clooney!

Darren And George Movie Sci Fi

Not only are we hearing that Darren Aronofsky wants to work with the always dapper George Clooney, but that the film itself could be a sci-fi piece!

It's called Human Nature, and it's about an man who wakes up from being cryogenically frozen to find that humans are now the pets of a different species. Apparently the script has been around a while — 15 years — but is now gaining momentum with the new interest, plus Akiva Goldsman is looking to produce.

This sounds pretty great, and somewhat eases the disappointment of Darren leaving Wolverine 2.

Does this sound like something U'd watch??

Tom Hanks To Star In Wachowski Brother's Next Sci-Fi Film

Tom Hanks to star in Cloud Atlas

It's still up in the air, but Tom Hanks is expected to star in the Wachowski Brother's next sci-fi film Cloud Atlas.

Based on the David Mitchell novel by the same name, the film tells six interconnected stories and is being described as:

"An epic story of humankind in which the actions and consequences of our lives impact one another throughout the past, present and future as one soul is shaped from a murderer into a savior and a single act of kindness ripples out for centuries to inspire a revolution."

Sounds intense! We hope Tom Hanks makes this official because we'd love to see him in an epic science fiction movie!

Are U excited for Tom Hanks to star in this film?

Will Smith And Son To Star Together In New M. Night Shyamalan Flick

The family that works together, rakes in the big bucks together!

It's just been announced that three-fourths of the Smith clan have signed up to be a part of M. Night Shyamalan's latest sci-fi thriller. Will Smith and his son, Jaden, are set to star as the father-son duo who are stranded on an "abandoned and sometimes scary Earth" 1,000 years in the future.

Along with starring, Will is also set to produce the film alongside his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, James Lassiter, and Ken Stovitz. For those who are curious, the screenplay is by M. Night Shyamalan and Gary Whitta.

But hold up! What about Willow? Surely they can't exclude her from all the fun! What will she have to talk about on the red carpet?!

Hey, is anyone settled on a theme song yet? Huh? HUH?!

Alex Pettyfer and Matt Bomer Are The New It Now Boys

And we're quite fine with that!

FOX has nabbed two more hotties to star in their new flick, Now, already starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

Beastly's Alex Pettyfer and White Collar's Matt Bomer have signed up to star in the sci-fi flick, directed by Andrew Niccol, about a future where people can live forever, but where time has a price tag attached.

Movie's shaping up to be a real SMOKESHOW! We'd see it!

Natalie Portman Attached to Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity…Almost

Just confirm this deal already! Everything about this movie screams AMAZING!

Earlier this month, Angelina Jolie pulled out of Alfonso and Jonas Cuaron's sci-fi epic Gravity, and the filmmakers approached Natalie Portman about taking over the role.

Now, Portman is in active negotiations to secure the lead role, and it looks like it's nearly a done deal.

After Jolie's exit from the project, many actresses were rumored to be up for the role, including Rachel Weisz, Blake Lively, and most recently Sandra Bullock. We're thinking they're making the right move with Natalie.

The script was written by Alfonso and his son Jonas Cuaron, which we think is pretty cool. How often have we seen father/son writing teams? We can't think of all that many.

The story is about a woman who's the sole survivor of a space station crash, and wants to return home to her daughter. Sounds very reminiscent of other intense, isolation-themed movies such as Moon and Cast Away. We are totally on board!

Word going around is that Robert Downey Jr. will appear in the film as well. No details yet as far as the capacity of the role is concerned, but his involvement is generally a good thing.

We're pumped to hear more as the details arise!

What do U think of this project? Should Angie have taken the role?

Avatar Sequel Gets Tentative Release Date of 2014!

Thank God it won’t take 15 years to make like the first one!

And although four years may seem like a long time, James Cameron feels confident in his plans for the sci-fi trilogy.

"Right now, the thinking is that [films] two and three are going to be done together. They’ll be released separately, probably a year apart or maybe even two, but they’ll be done in a bunch.”

He hopes that his strategy will help prevent the failure that curses many big Hollywood sequels.

"I’m mapping out the story line right now, so there’s a proper arc that plays out over two films, but buttons nicely at the end of two, so you don’t get this horrible second-act Matrix feeling - you know: 'I’ve just sat through a three-hour movie and fuck all [that] happened at the end!'”

But don’t put your blue Avatar masks in the closet yet (we know you have them; no need to be shy)! Avatar is being re-released for a limited run on Friday with 9 extra minutes of never-before-seen footage!

Put on your 3D glasses and prepare to be blown away!
