Science Proves You Can't Tickle Yourself, Even After Swapping Bodies With Someone Else!

Science has proven yet again that we can't tickle ourselves no matter how hard we try!

You know how it's not possible to tickle yourself?

Well, some freaky (or bored) scientists actually decided to do something about it!

They set up a test based on the theory that we can't tickle ourselves because the brain negates any sensation caused by its own movements.

Dr. George Van Doorn and several colleagues created a body-swap illusion by setting up 23 test subjects and measured their potential for self-tickling.

According to the BPS Research Digest, the experiment was set up like so:

Over-Cooked French Fries Give You Cancer

obama french fries cancer

By over-cook, we mean well done — the french fry doesn't even have to be burnt for it to give you cancer!

Though, this is a bummer for those of you who can't get enough french fries, especially if they're a major part of your cheat day! Because you wouldn't eat them ALL the time, right?? RIGHT??

Apparently a chemical called Acrylamide develops during the high-temperature cooking of certain foods, namely potato products like french fries. Oh, and those delicious golden sticks aren't the only things at risk! Acrylamide also forms in over-cooking of potato chips, cereal-based grains, cookies, crackers, breakfast cereals, toasted bread… and coffee.

COFFEE.

Well, there goes the list of everyone's favorite stuff! Thanks, FDA. We hope you're happy!

The chemical was first discovered in 2002, and has been tested enough to show that high doses of the substance cause cancer in laboratory animals, and scientists are pretty damn sure the same goes for people.

Here's what science found:

Scientists Kill World's Oldest Creature! Whoops!

Scientists found and then killed a 507-year-old clam... the world's oldest creature!

Back in 2006, scientists discovered a clam.

Normally not very newsworthy.

But this clam was special, Ming the clam was originally thought to be 405-years-old… that's insane!

What's crazier is that

fifty shades of grey herpes belgium el james library book dakota johnson jamie dornan

Ickiest. Discovery. Ever.

The world was stunned mildly shocked when Belgian scientists recently uncovered a herpes-tainted copy of Fifty Shades of Grey in one of Antwerp's public libraries!

Two professors from the University of Don't They Have Something Better To Do did a toxicology screening on several of E.L. James' critically acclaimed erotic paperbacks and found trace amounts of the icky herp-a-derp all over one tome's totally titillating pages!!

Ewwww! Why?! How?! Who gives herpes to a novel?

An insatiable dendrophiliac who can't afford condoms?? A rising star within the book burning lobby hellbent on drumming up membership? Maybe they were accidentally written that way?

Science Explains Why Hyenas STINK! Who Knew They Had Such A Horrible Stench??

Hyena stink is caused by bacteria??

Ever smell a hyena??

No?! Really?? Oh… well they stink. BAD.

Mainly from a scent gland under their tails.

Many animals like to rub their butts against stuff to make their presence known.

The same is true for hyenas. They can tell sex, age, family or clan and more just by smelling other hyenas' markings.

Scientists have long theorized that these smells aren't made by the animals themselves but

MASSIVE 18-Foot Oarfish Found Off Cali Coast!! See The Crazy Pic HERE!

Massive 18-foot-long Oarfish found off the California coast!

A marine science instructor was snorkeling off the coast of sunny SoCal when they spotted something pretty amazing:

An 18-foot-long Oarfish!!

Jasmine Santana of the Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI) saw the huge, shiny, silver body laying on the seafloor.

It's one of the largest oarfish they've seen at CIMI.

Oarfish tend to dive over 3,000-feet-deep so seeing them is pretty rare.

Luckily, when this 18-footer died of natural causes he floated up to where the scientists found him.

The giant oarfish can actually grow to an incredible 50-feet-long!!

They're apparently the reason for old, giant sea serpent myths.

Now, the fish is being buried in the sand to decompose so its skeleton can be reconstituted and put on display.

Congrats on the find, Jasmine!!
