Jamie DeWolf warns of his great-grandfather's infamous Scientology, calling the belief system "absolute poison."

Having held a passion for writing at such a young age, Jamie was often shown L. Ron Hubbard's science fiction books as family inspiration, but he was never told of the religion as his family tried to escape it.

His grandfather had once been a high-ranking member of the church, but fled the "dangerous cult" after becoming "disgusted" with what he saw behind the scenes.

Jamie says due to his exit, he was then hunted for the rest of life.

As for the big L. Ron himself, Jamie says his great g-pa became:

"…more and more unhinged in his last days. He was lost in his own little wonderland, surrounded by this armada, this dark security force. He was totally lost."

Jamie soon discovered the meaning behind the sci-fi books, and naturally he wanted to learn more about his family's history. But his family protested, warning him even:
