dame judi dench blind no reading no watching movies

We reported about this a few years ago, and it's so sad to hear that Dame Judi Dench's macular degeneration has progressed this far.

She can officially no long read scripts — or menus in restaurants — but the worst of it is that she can't really watch movies anymore either.

BUT, at 79, with 95 award nominations in her career, she STILL isn't ready to retire!

In fact, her powerful words bring tears to our eyes! She said:

Where there's a Will, there's two ways!

Roland Emmerich, the director who loves blowing up the White House in movies, recently revealed in an interview that there are not one, but two versions of the upcoming Independence Day 2 movie!

But why two? Do the aliens win in one of the scripts?! What gives?

Well, Will Smith, who has apparently played very hard to get it when it comes to signing on for the sequel, has yet to agree to do the film!

Come on, Will! You're not going to let all those innocent extras who perished in the first movie die in vain, are you?

However, the prospect of Will defending the human race once again is actually "looking good," according to Roland.

Meanwhile, Will's co-pilot and co-star Jeff Goldblum is signed on, as well as the best President ever, Bill Pullman.

We will not go quietly into the night! We'll scream at the top of our lungs, if it meant that Will would kick some alien ass again!

Melissa McCarthy continues to be on a hot streak!

Fresh off of last year's Emmy and buzz surrounding her amazing performance in Bridesmaids, Melissa has sold a script to CBS for a new sitcom.

This becomes the second script she's sold after the first was sold in September 2011.

The untltled spec is about a man who lives at home with his parents…and he's 37. It was co-written by Larry Dorf and Mel's husband and fellow Bridesmaids' alum Ben Falcone.

The Emmy winner will take a non-writing executive producer role for the show.

We're so proud of her success! Melissa is unstoppable!

Oh, these are going to be good!

In just its first year in production, Jimmy Fallon and his company Holiday Road have sold their first three comedy scripts to NBC.

Jimmy will also executive produce along with one of his show's writers, Amy Ozols.

The three shows are Fat Rob, which is about a former rapper trying to be a good father, DILFs, a show about dads who don't feel adult enough to be parents, and Rick follows a man who is the same age as his stepson.

LOLz! These all sound like SNL skits. And they also sound pretty HIGHlarious.

Way to go, Jimmy and co.!
