Emmy Award-winning Kathryn Joosten, who, in a devastating case of life imitating art had us choking back tears during her character Karen McKluskey's death scene on the series finale of Desperate Housewives, passed away in real life yesterday after losing her battle with lung cancer at the age of 72.
According to her rep, the actress - who was also known for her roles on The West Wing and Scrubs - was surrounded by her family in her Westlake Village home in El Lay at the time of her passing.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of her relatives, fans, and loved ones during this time.
May she R.I.P.

Our nail expert Leah Light is here again to share some great tips with our CocoPerez readers.
This time around, Leah is showing us how to create an all natural hand and foot scrub.
The scrub is organic, easy to make, and very cost effective by using simple ingredients out of your cupboard. It'll also last for about two months after making it. If you haven't used it all up before then.
Check out the clip above to learn how to do it yourself. And if you have any more questions for Leah, you can tweet her at @NailsByLeah or check out her Facebook fan page.
