Jon Stewart Responds To Fox News Outrage Over Common
Once again, Fox News has created a stir out of nothing and once again Jon Stewart has destroyed their argument by using their own words against them.
Fox News personalities like Sean Hannity have been poorly quoting select verses written by Common in outrage over his invitation to perform poetry at the White House's celebration of poetry on Wednesday night.
Watch the clips above to see how a comedy show is more truthful than a "news" network.
Regardless of whether you think Common was a suitable choice to perform at Michelle Obama's poetry event, you have to admit that Fox News is basically just making stuff up at this point.
They refer to all of these individual verses in Common's poem, but fail to understand (or maybe purposely ignore) the bigger picture of what the poem was trying to say by using the language in question.
We'd like to thank the Daily Show for taking the time to point out with strong, visual, undeniable evidence of Fox News' shameful attempts to discredit the Obama administration any chance they get, as well as talented artists like Common who get caught in the political crossfire.
