American Idol's Casey Abrams Can't Stop Singing About His Record Deal

It took him a little longer than other American Idol alumni (even the one who was eliminated before him), but Casey Abrams just got signed to a record deal!

The season 10 contestant can now celebrate with Idol winner Scott McCreery, runner-up Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Haley Reinhart and Pia Toscano, all who got deals before him.

It's pretty shocking it took this long, but

Scotty McCreery Has Two "Weird" Fou-Fou Dogs

Scotty McCreery

Scotty McCreery, the 17-year-old winner of the 10th season of American Idol, has been on the road with his mom: leaving dad home to take care of their two dogs, Becky and Junior.

McCreery said:

"I have two fou-fou dogs. I don't really know how to describe them. They're weird."

Even if they’re weird, his dad still doesn’t seem to have a problem keeping company with the two canine companions, as McCreery says:

"Now that Dad's home alone, he lets them sleep on the bed with him. Mom's like, 'They better not be sleeping on my side of the bed!'"

LOLz!

Though it must be hard having his son and wife out on the road, McCreery says Junior will keep his dad busy.

"Junior, he's a character. […] Junior's toys are whatever he can get his mouth on. We have ant traps under our couch and he'll go and eat them. Nothing stops Junior."

Taking care of two crazy dogs sure is a good way to pass the time until the family is reunited.

David Cook Records Contestant Kick-Off Song For Next Season Of American Idol

Filed under: TV NewsMusic MinuteAmerican IdolPerezTVDavid Cook

Curious to hear what losing will sound like on Season 10 of American Idol?

Season 7 winner David Cook has recorded the contestant "kick-off" song (above) which is an updated version of Simple Minds' 1985 hit Don't You (Forget About Me).

Some may call it sacrilege, but we're thinking many people will enjoy hearing Cook's cover of the '80s classic song as contestants are kicked off the show.

Do U approve of the new Idol contestant "kick-off" song?
