Seth Rogen Testifies In Front Of Congress! Watch The Video That’ll Make You Laugh, Cry, Then Laugh Again!

History was made this week in Washington as for the first time ever, the phrase “knocked up” was used during an official Congressional hearing!

LOLz!

Seth Rogen sat in front of a microphone on Capitol Hill yesterday to speak about an issue that is very near and dear to his heart.

No, not legalizing marijuana, shockingly enough.

Seth was there to talk about Alzheimer’s research.

His mother-in-law suffers from the disease, and he and his wife have seen her slip away before their eyes - forgetting how to speak, eat, or even get to the bathroom on her own.

Seth opened up about how hard his experiences have been and how having Alzheimer’s in his family lead him to start his own charity, Hilarity for Charity.

Srsly, we went back and forth from cracking up to crying our eyes out while watching his testimony!

Unfortunately, the funny man only had TWO Senators show up to hear him speak!

Bluuuugh! Why are we not surprised that members of Congress suck at doing their jobs?

Seth voiced his disappointment on Twitter afterwards, tweeting:

Senate Votes To Outlaw LGBT Discrimination At Work, Passes ENDA! Barack Obama Chimes In, Too!

us senate passes ends to outlaw lgbt discrimination work place barack obama approves requires house vote

What a refreshing first step in the right direction!

Today the U.S. Senate passed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, a law which outlaw LGBT discrimination against individuals in the workplace!

This has the makings of a landmark civil rights moment and it could potentially changes the lives of millions for the better, but it's still far too early to celebrate this as a victory.

ENDA passing in the Senate is a HUGE deal, in order for it to become federal law the bill must also be passed by in the House of Representatives.

Republican House Speaker John Boehner has already said he opposes the law and it's very possible he may not even allow a vote.

Yes, this is the same John Boehner who recently orchestrated the catastrophic government shutdown.

President Barack Obama cast support for the bill today on Twitter.

Senate Committee Gives Another Win To LGBT Rights!

Wow. It really DOES get better!

Wednesday marked another historic day in the fight for equality in America, this time in the workplace.

Currently, in 33 states you can be fired, denied a promotion or be openly harassed at your job just for being gay! But not for long!

The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions just passed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (better known as ENDA) a bill that will ban workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

The bill was voted through 15 to 7 with all democrats supporting it as well as three republicans! Way to go guys!

The 7 Senators who voted no for equality in the workplace: Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Mike Enzi (Wyo.), Richard Burr (N.C.), Johnny Isakson (Ga.), Rand Paul (Ky.), Pat Roberts (Kansas) and Tim Scott (S.C.).

We're lucky enough to live in America where EVERYONE has a right to their opinion and the freedom of speech to express it, so if you see your Senator listed above, pick up the phone or log-on to their web site and tell them they voted on the WRONG side of history today!

Lucky for history though, they lost!

Love is love! It's a VERY happy day!

Texas Passes House Bill 2 To Place Strict Regulations On Abortions

texas passes bill to put strict regulations on abortions

The state of Texas has just put the final approval on House Bill 2, which will ban abortions at 20 weeks and put some of the strictest regulations on abortion clinics and facilities in the entire country.

The House voted 98-49 to pass the Bill by a huge margin, and it must be approved once more at a later date to move on to the Senate.

Supporters of the Bill argue that it will help protect women and their unborn children while those opposed to it say it will make it nearly impossible for women to get treatment and force them to seek "black market" alternatives.

Only this time the Arizona Senator is complaining on the Senate floor! He's introducing a bill called the TV Consumer Freedom Act of 2013.
