No, Ashley Judd is not set to star in another political thriller; she's looking towards the real deal!

Gossip about the A-lister and social activist's plans to run for U.S. senate has been spreading faster than peanut butter and jelly, but it is now being predicted that she will in fact be announcing her Democratic nomination this May!

Even though the Missing star has yet to officially confirm the announcement, a source from MSNBC anticipates that Ashley will go up against Republican minority Mitch McConnell for the powerful position.

In a statement over the weekend, the actress said:

alec baldwin blacklist request

And the dramz just got crazier!

After being accused of throwing a racial slur and threats at a New York reporter and photographer, Alec Baldwin is under fire in more ways than one.

Not only is Alec under investigation for the incident as a harassment claim has been filed, New York State Senator Malcolm Smith is going after the actor as well.

Oooh, doesn't he know Alec doesn't like to be messed with?!

Clearly he's not afraid because he is going after the actor in a BIG way as he’s asking for Alec to be blacklisted from Hollywood until he gets help. Malcolm commented:

He's more than keeping his word!

He is NOT messing around! Nor should he be!

In the wake of a 20-year-old gunman's massacre of 27 people, 20 of them children, at Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut Friday afternoon, President Barack Obama promised the devastated community that "if there is even one thing that we can do" to prevent something like this happening again that "we have a deep obligation, all of us, to try."

And he as ALREADY started doing just that, by announcing today that Vice President Joe Biden will be spearheading a multi-agency group to tackle the problem of widespread gun violence in the country…with proposals ready to be pushed into legislation by JANUARY!

As the President explained:

Same-Sex Couple Suing Organization For Using Their Photo In Anti-Gay Political Ad!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayLegal MattersPolitikSad Sad

This is so awful and we totally hope this couple is granted justice!

Brian Edwards and Tom Privitere are suing an anti-gay group called Public Advocate of the United States because their private photo — featuring them kissing at their engagement party — was used in the hateful organization's homophobic political ad!

Public Advocate lifted the image from the New Jersey couple's website and featured it in an advertisement (above) attacking Republican Colorado State Senator Jean White for supporting gay unions.

The couple's lawyer calls the despicable act "nothing short of theft" and we can't help but agree!

Not only did the backwards organization not ask for permission to use the picture, but they didn't pay for it either.

Although we're sure the couple wouldn't accept ANY amount of money for their image to be used in such a derogatory manner, we bet they wish the photograph wasn't a tainted reminder of the intolerance that still pollutes this great country.

When commenting on the case, Edwards referred to the picture as a "defiled image" and explained:

Watch Kirk Cameron Weigh In On Todd Akin And 'Legitimate Rape'

If you haven't been living under a rock…or a place with no access to the internet, newspapers or television, then you already know all about Rep. Todd Akin's views on "legitimate rape" and abortion.

In case you're just tuning in, the Congressman is currently running for Missouri's Senate seat and went on television to declare that — from what he understands "from doctors" — it's really rare for a woman to get pregnant after being raped.

Ya see, as long as it's "legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down."

While it sounds like he watched the movie Teeth a few too many times or maybe thinks the female uterus is armed with booby traps that eliminate any trespassing sperm, it turns out he simply "misspoke."

But now, it's someone else's turn to put their two cents in on the issue. Check out the video (above) to watch Kirk Cameron shared with CNN his DEFENSE of the controversial politician.

It's nice to know that Kirk Cameron doesn't believe there is "any kind of okay rape," but a little disappointing that he couldn't take the subject anywhere past his theologically-inspired views on abortion. At least he didn't bash the gays this time!
