How awful!

Maze Runner star Dylan O'Brien was severely injured while filming the franchise's upcoming third chapter The Death Cure on Thursday.

According to reports, the 24-year-old was taken to a local hospital in British Columbia to be treated after suffering multiple injuries from an accident on set.

Apparently, the actor fell on his face, and fractured either his cheekbone or orbital socket — but there are conflicting reports as to what caused Dylan's injuries.

Some are reporting that the Teen Wolf actor was run over by a vehicle in a car scene gone wrong, while other reports are saying he fell off the back of a set that was supposed to look like the back of a train.

One thing is clear, the production will shut down until O'Brien recovers. On Friday, 20th Century Fox released a statement confirmed the accident, saying:

"Dylan O'Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery."

This is so scary. Our hearts go out to the actor at this time, and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Get well soon, Dylan!
