We've known for a while now that David Fincher's sequel to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo keeps getting pushed back to the point of being in jeopardy, so we were HOPING Rooney Mara could fill us in with a little bit about what's going on there.

Turns out, there isn't even a script yet!

During an interview about her next flick, Ain't Them Bodies Saints, she was asked point blank on a red carpet about it — she responded with:

John Waters wants you to know that he did indeed write an entire sequel to Hairspray, and to prove it he's dishing with a synopsis!

We have never seen someone put so much effort into not wanting something to get made — so if you DON'T want the sequel to your 1988/2007 movie/musical to ever get made, this is the plot you write for it. It's a fool-proof plan! LOLz!

Seriously, the term "jumping the shark" was coined for both shows that literally jump sharks and for sequels with SINGING ZITS.

And, don't get us wrong, we love Mr. Waters, but we have no idea if he's punkin' us on this one!

Ever since we found out there would be more Star Wars movies, we've wondered when they would take place. Would the original cast come back to play older versions of Luke, Han Solo, and Princess Leia?

Well, if it's up to her, Carrie Fisher would say tat Princess Leia will definitely be back!

We were all shocked by Tuesday's news that the Star Wars film franchise would be continuing under the Disney banner. But two people were a little less surprised about the announcement of the sequels.

It took the producers of The Hunger Games series a long time to find a director for Catching Fire.

And it seems now that they have him, they don't plan on letting him go!

Francis Lawrence, no relation to star Jennifer Lawrence, is best known for directing I Am Legend and a myriad of music videos for the likes of Aerosmith, Jennifer Lopez, and P!nk.

But that is sure to change once he gets finished directing not one, not two, but three Hunger Games films, as he has been signed on to complete the franchise!

The best news about this? If Mr. Lawrence is getting attached to the Mockingjay already, producers must REALLY like what he's doing so far!

You don't ask someone to go steady unless you know they'll treat you right! We're more stoked than ever for Fire now!

We already know that The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo won't be playing with fire any time in 2013, but will she EVER get around to kicking that hornet's nest??

Despite Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara being up for more sex scenes crime-solving action, director David Fincher still won't commit!

We know David is a crazy busy guy, what with his TV work and kickstarter CGI movie, but maybe he could just consult with a new director to keep the vision consistent?

Otherwise, we may never know if this totally awesome franchise is even going to become a franchise!

Actually, there is one more thing we could try…

"Reply hazy. Try again." Crap! Too bad we don't have Lisbeth to blackmail a director!
