Earlier in the year, there were rumblings that Tim Burton was interested in directing a sequel to his '80s smash, Beetlejuice, and even asked the scribe on his new flick, Dark Shadows, Seth Grahame-Smith, to start penning a script!
Well, apparently, the writer HAS - and has even gotten Beetlejuice himself, Michael Keaton, ready to reprise the role!

While we're sick of Hollywood making tons of mindless, pointless sequels…we must admit we're curious about this one!
Producers David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith of KatzSmith Productions have signed a two-year first look feature producing deal with Warner Bros, and one of their top upcoming projects is a sequel to the 1988 Tim Burton classic Beetlejuice!
Interestingly enough, this will NOT be a reboot/remake! Instead, this sequel is expected to continue the storyline from the original film. Huh!
All we can say is we hope that Warner Bros and KatzSmith treat this project with care! If we're gonna mess around with the first film, then let's do it right!

20th Century Fox has announced the release date for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
On June 22, 2012, the film version of Seth Grahame-Smith's novel will grace movie screens all over the country!
The film will be directed by Wanted's Timur Bekmambetov, and it's being produced by both Timur and Tim Burton.
The screenplay is being written by Grahame-Smith, who also wrote the novel.
