It seems Prince William and Kate Middleton have chosen late April as their ideal time to wed!
"There is a date they have in mind, and it's a case of working it out with the relevant parties," said a spokesman for the prince.
It's rumored that they are focusing on the block of time just after Easter (around April 28), but are speaking to the government and police to see if that date is doable.
And they have known what they wanted for a while! The couple told officials their date and venue within a couple days of their engagement.
One of the reasons the date has to be after Easter is that Queen Elizabeth takes Lent very seriously and would expect it to be observed.
"She will have all sorts of preparations in the run-up to the wedding," said a source in the prince's office of Kate. The preparations would include meetings with senior staffers in the royal household.
If only she can adjust to the prince's security detail following her every move, we're sure they'll be very happy together!
