Georgia Police have failed to remove copies of a video circulating online showing a 12-year-old Georgia girl killing herself.

On December 30, Katelyn Nicole Davis (pictured above) broadcasted the suicide on Facebook Live, claiming she had been physically and sexually abused by a family member before hanging herself in the front yard of her Cedartown home.

Davis' family removed the video from her Facebook page, but copies of it were shared on blogs, YouTube pages, and other Facebook accounts.

Though YouTube removed the video because it violated its policy on graphic content, footage was still present of Facebook — and authorities now say they are powerless to remove it.

Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd said the department has been getting messages from around the world from people outraged by the video, but there's little police can do. He told local press:

The Queen of Pop exclaimed:

"Thank you for acknowledging my ability to continue my career for 34 years in the face of blatant misogyny, sexism, constant bullying and relentless abuse. When I first moved to New York, I was a teenager, it was 1979, and New York was a very scary place. In the first year, I was held up at gunpoint, raped on a rooftop with a knife digging into my throat, and I had my apartment broken into and robbed so many times I just stopped bolting the door."

The 58-year-old also called out the disgusting prominence of sexism, adding:

"You are allowed to be pretty and cute and sexy. But don't act too smart. Don't have an opinion. Don't have an opinion that is out of line with the status quo, at least."
