Here's Proof That Working Conditions For Models Suck

Just terrible!

Former model and Model Alliance founder Sara Ziff is once again revealing the dark side of modeling and thanks to a new survey, she has proof!

The results came after Ziff and former model Jenna Sauers sent a survey to 241 girls and even though only 85 returned it, their answers were more than troubling:

- 68.3% of models suffer from anxiety or depression
- 76.5% have been exposed to drugs or alcohol on the job
- 29.7% of models have been touched inappropriately on the job
- 28% have been pressured to have sex with someone on the job
- Of those who’ve experienced sexual harassment, only 29.1% felt they could tell their agencies, which might be because they lack the confidence that comes with adulthood, since:
- 54.7% begin working between the ages of 13 and 16

The average age of the respondents was 26, which means that they skewed towards older and more experienced women.

Still, this is totally ridiculous!

The industry needs to he some serious reform, and soon!

Good news for Robert Duffy!

The president of Marc Jacobs has revolved the sexual harassment suit brought on by the company's ex-COO Patrice Lataillade.

In case you forgot, Lataillade said he was fired last September after complaining about Duffy's sexual misconduct in the workplace, which included naked photo shoots and pole dancing.

LVMH denied the COO's claims and promised to vigorously defend the case in court, but it looks like that won't be necessary now.

As of last week the case was officially closed with a rep for LVMH saying the lawsuit was "resolved to the satisfaction of both parties".

Paul Mitchell's Son Sued For Crotch Grabbing & Face Humping

Wow.

Angus Mitchell, son of the famous hairdresser Paul Mitchell, is being sued by an ex-employee for some ridiculously bizarre behavior.

In his lawsuit, Richard Flett claims he was sexually harassed and ultimately wrongfully terminated by Mitchell.

Some of the sexual harassment allegations listed in the court docs include:

Mitchell sneaking inside his hotel room to watch his penis while he slept, grabbing his junk in front of other employees, watching him while he peed, shoving his crotch in his face to hump it, and being forced to buy Mitchell cocaine and then use it with him.

Dayum.

Flett is seeking unspecified damages.

A rep for Angus said the claims are "somewhere between laughable and sad" and is "just an attempt by a disgruntled former employee to see if he can find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow". They said that's not going to work.

Former American Apparel Employees Sue Dov Charney AGAIN

dov-charney-sued-again-for-defamation.jpg

Another day, another lawsuit for Dov Charney.

Three former American Apparel employees, who are suing the CEO for sexual harassment, filed another lawsuit alleging defamation against Charney and company photographer Kyung Chung.

The lawsuit filed on Tuesday said Irene Morales, Alyssa Ferguson and Tesa Lubans-Dehaven suffered "emotional distress, invasion of privacy and impersonation online" after three fake blogs were created in their names.

The NSFW sites (which are still live) feature nude photos of the accusers, emails and text messages allegedly sent to Dov as well as admissions of extortion.

We viewed the sites a while ago and couldn't help but notice some of the emails look really shady and/or fake.

All three are seeking damages.

Marc Jacobs President Robert Duffy Sued For Sexual Harassment

The president of Marc Jacobs and lightening rod for drama, Robert Duffy, is being sued for sexual misconduct in the workplace and the claims are explosive.

The suit was filed by the company's former COO Patrice Lataillade, who claims Duffy created a "discriminatory environment". For example:

"Duffy's conduct which created a hostile work environment include his displaying gay pornography in the office and requiring employees to look at it; his production and dissemination of a book which includes photos of MJI staff in sexual positions or nude; [and] his requirement that an MJI store employee perform a pole dance for him."

Patrice says he "complained about Duffy's behavior and requested, on numerous occasions, that Duffy's creation of a sexually charged workplace be stopped", but obviously nothing was done.

Other employees also complained, but the company lawyer told a female she needed "thicker skin" and a male to "go home early and have a drink".

Wow.

The now ex-COO's complaints increased with Robert's naughty conduct and was eventually fired in September.

Now Lataillade is seeking unspecified monetary damages discrimination, retaliation and his "mental anguish and humiliation".

LVMH said they will "vigorously defend the case in court."

American Apparel's Dov Charney Slapped With Another Sexual Harassment Suit

dovcharney__opt__opt1.jpg

Shocking.

A second American Apparel employee has come forward claiming she too fell victim to Dov Charney's pervy ways.

In the suit filed on Wednesday, Kimbra Lo claims the harassment started in December when she went to Dov's Los Angeles home to discuss being rehired as a model and photographer.

Charney allegedly invited the 19 year old to his bedroom, where he went on to undress her and tried to have sex with her and take pictures.

Sick.

The lawsuit also named three other employees, but the details of their complaints weren't listed because they signed confidentiality agreements with AA. However, lawyer Eric Baum doesn't believe the agreements are enforceable.

Inneresting.

Wonder how American Apparel will react this time?
