People shopping in Shanghai got quite the surprise during their holiday spending sprees!

The Shanghai Orient mall's 33 TON aquarium EXPLODED, sending shards of 15 cm thick (about 6 inches!) glass and LIVE sharks at customers and employees.

Eight shoppers suffered deep cuts and bruises along with security and mall workers being injured as well…And sadly, three sharks died in the accident.

A PREGGERZ whale shark in a reserve in Mexico needed rescuing from divers on a tour.

The poor fish was trapped in a rope long enough for a scar to form when she was rescued.

The whale shark was 10 meters (~32 ft) long and weighed over 50 TONS!

Now that's a HUGE rescue mission!

Researchers believe a 14 to 15 foot great white shark attacked and killed the California surfer who died this past weekend.

As previously reported, 39 year old Francisco Solorio, Jr. was killed when a shark bit through his surfboad and onto his torso.

Authorities have released the photo of the surfboard which how shark experts were able to guess how Solorio died.
