Eliminated X Factor contestant Katie Waissel was no stranger to controversy during her time on the reality competition, but nobody could have anticipated that her grandmother, Sheila Vogel, would be outed as a high class hooker!

However, the 82 year old is speaking out to the press about the scandal, and also refuses to apologize for her career choice!

She explains:

"I haven’t done anything wrong. It’s a free world and I haven’t killed anybody. I’m just trying to make a living. Katie was very upset at first. We spoke on the phone but she wouldn’t let me talk. She was screaming at me. It was very hard. In the end she hung up - as did her mother and father. But then she phoned me and said, 'Hi Grandma, I just phoned you to tell you I love you.' And I said, 'Katie, I love you too.' Do I think I’ve let Katie down? No, I don’t think so at all. If anything she’s let me down. The family released a statement saying that they want to disassociate themselves from me. I don’t think they’re being very sensible about it, but if that’s what they want to do, then fine. I find it very hard. I have the right to live my life the way I want to, but it’s sad we can’t discuss it as grown-ups. If they’re not going to accept me for what I am, I’m not going to say sorry. It’s still very raw and I understand it was a shock. I’d like to think they can come into this century and become more liberal. I have no inhibitions. I’m a good example for prudish people. It’s not the end of the world to be 70 or 80 years old. Live your life!"

She's not hurting anyone, and she's clearly not being forced to do anything against her will!

Drama has followed this girl since day one, but this is just BEYOND anything we could have ever anticipated!

X Factor contestant Katie Waissel has reportedly just discovered that her GRANDMOTHER, Sheila Vogel, is a high-class escort through a website called Vintage Vamps, and she is NOT happy about it!

Vogel allegedly uses the pseudonym Cecilia Bird on-line, charges between £150 and £250 an hour, and is described on-line as the following:

"Classic vamps are like fine wine and we are delighted to introduce one of our agency's great vintages, the grand dame Cecilia Bird. The cultured lady has recently celebrated her 80th birthday. Beneath my conservative exterior lurks the secret passion to meet up with like-minded gentlemen to share the taste of forbidden fruits."

A source reveals:

"This has torn the family apart. Out only hope is that it doesn't lead to more goading of Katie. She is extremely fond of Sheila who has been really supportive throughout her career. All we can hope is that it won't affect Katie's chances of staying in the competition."
