WARNING: This video is NOT easy to get through! Watch at UR own risk!
In the past 15 years, 575 children have died from heat stroke after being left unattended in a vehicle, however parents continue to leave their kids behind while running errands.
It can take as little as 15 minutes for a child to suffer from serious injuries, and there have already been 15 deaths this year alone.
But if these statistics are for some reason not enough to convince you, Redcastle Productions decided to make a short film to paint a picture of the very real dangers of leaving a baby in a car.
The video shows a mother who decides to run into a store to grab a few things when she quickly becomes distracted and starts moving painfully slow!!
Meanwhile, her baby boy starts feeling the heat inside the car and eventually loses consciousness right before he is rescued by a few strangers!
Overall, the video is pretty upsetting as we watch this poor child suffer while his mother moves slower than molasses, but it certainly gets the point across that you should NEVER leave your baby behind, even if it's only for a few minutes!
Check out the cautionary tale (above).
