Although we were super excited to hear that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was in the running for the role of Peter Quill in one of the new Marvel super-hero movies currently being developed, Guardians of the Galaxy, we're sad to report that the actor has bowed out of the casting race due to scheduling conflicts!

Oh, but what scheduling conflicts might THOSE be?!

Only the much-anticipated, long-awaited follow-up to Robert Rodriguez's Sin City, A Dame To Kill For!

Wow! There are always snubs, but these are pretty brutal!

The Academy Awards have announced their short list for Documentary Feature, and despite there being fifteen films in contention, they've not only excluded the much-talked about 'is it or isn't it real?' Catfish, but also the AMAZING Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work!

This really does suck, not just because we LOVE Joan, but because we truly believe that her documentary was fascinating - and SO well-made!

Lame!

Oh, Kristin Cavallari!

Now that The Hills has acknowledged that everything that happened on that mess is essentially staged, the reality star thinks that it showcased her 'acting' chops enough to warrant a legitimate film career, with actual real life actors!

She says:

“I am starting to work with an acting coach again and I would love to work with Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, and Sean Penn."

We want to laugh and declare, 'bitch please!' but then we're hit with the sobering reality that her co-star, The Real Heidi Doll, was cast in a movie with Nicole Kidman and the MANiston, so we suppose miracles do happen!

Keep your fingers crossed, gurl!

Either that, or have ten plastic surgery procedures done in one day and hope that someone will throw you in a movie as the butt of a joke!

Now THIS is casting we could get behind!

Sources who are close to the production of Christopher Nolan's Batman 3 claim that the casting grid confirms that The Riddler will DEFINITELY be a character in the third installment of the reboot, and that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is shortlisted as an actor that they're interested in casting for the role!

YES! We think he's the perfect person for the role. Obviously, they'll never be able to strike gold the way they did with Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, but he'll make for a nice successor!

The script is still being written, so it's unclear how large The Riddler's role will be, but this is definitely a good sign!
