Italian mobsters locked up at Ucciardone prison aka "The Grand Hotel" are having to say arividerchi to their designer suits.
Rita Barbera, governor of the Sicilian city of Palermo, instated the new rules which bans inmates from wearing luxury labels like Prada, Gucci, Valentino, Versace, Louis Vuitton and Armani.
Barbera told a local newspaper:
"The popular image of this jail is linked to the silk suits of godfathers and we need to cancel that image. We need to cancel class differences and the showing off of status, power and wealth."
And as you can imagine, the Dons aren't happy.
A wife of an inmate threw a hissy fit about the new rules, saying:
"My husband will be left naked. He only has designer clothes, and that's not because he's flashy but because they last much longer and are better quality. Why humiliate him? Why force us to buy clothes at street markets?"
Here's a reason — IT'S AN EFFING JAIL!!!
