Rooney Mara seems to be enjoying the promo tour for her new film.

This is the second time we've seen her smile on the red carpet in the span of one day!

It's like seeing a fabled mythical creature or something!

The dark-haired beauty wore Valentino Haute Couture to the Berlin premiere of Side Effects on Tuesday.

Featuring a square neckline and asymmetrical hem, the black lace frock made Rooney look like a gorgeous, spooky doll!

She does goth chic like no one else!

Rooney Mara wears Balenciaga Resort to Side Effects photocall in Berlin

Has Rooney Mara ever been cast as a vampire?

Because she would NAIL that role!

The pale-skinned actress looked like a seksi femme Charlie Chaplin at the photocall for Side Effects in Berlin on Tuesday.

Wearing high-waisted Balenciaga Resort pin-striped pants and two-toned crop top, Rooney posed with co-star Jude Law and even cracked a smile!

A rosy blush and red lips could've looked too harsh, but they actually played off very well against her fair complexion.

Procter & Gamble Recalls Clairol Hair Coloring Kits

clairol-issues-recall.jpg

If you dye your hair at home you might be in for a surprise. That is if you use Procter & Gamble’s Clairol Natural Instincts

P&G has voluntarily recalled 10 shades of their hair dyes after some users experienced side effects causing their hair color to change.

The culprit seems to be the “Week 2 ColorFresh! Revitalizer” which is applied to your hair two weeks after the initial color and is intended to boost the hair’s shade.

Unfortunately the packets were mismatch in 10 of their coloring kits.

For those who have been affected, P&G is going above and beyond, offering consumers full refunds and providing “color assistance” service by calling in.

All the necessary information can be found at www.clairol.com/alert and check out after the jump for the full list of the affected color kits.

Clairol expects the affected shades to be corrected and back on shelves by May 2011.

Claire Danes Suffers Side Effects From Her Own Product!

claire-danes-suffers-skin-darkening-side-effects-of-latisse.jpg

Latisse' newest celebrity spokeswoman Claire Danes is having a terrible time with the lash growing product she's hawking.

According to a source, Claire's makeup artist has to apply large amounts of concealer to cover up the purple and yellow "skin darkening" around her eyes.

That sounds attractive.

A rep from Latisse was quick to shoot down the claim, saying:

"We can only speak to what Claire has shared with us regarding her experience with Latisse, which is that she has been pleased with her results and continues to use the product. Claire's team has shared with us that she has not experienced skin hyperpigmentation following use of Latisse. Skin-darkening is a less common side effect . . . and typically occurs close to where Latisse is applied on the skin. This has been reported to be reversible in most patients upon discontinuation of Latisse."

Whether or not it's true, the product still sounds shady.

Donate To Charity And Get Longer Eyelashes?

latissepromo.jpg

This sounds like a good idea. Sort of.

Latisse had decided to give away free trials of its lash growing treatment to the first 10,000 people who make a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Beginning today, if you're among the first 10,000 to donate at least $20 or more, you'll receive a certificate for the pricey eye lash grower which retails for about $120.

But with all the side effects Latisse could cause, you might be better off just donating and skipping out on receiving your free trial. Hah!

Signed on to help the campaign is Kathy Ireland, Bobbi Thomas, and Dancing With the Stars Chelsie Hightower. Kathy reveals about the initiative:

"Our family has been connected to a family through the Make-A-Wish Foundation for 16 years, and we've seen how this organization changes peoples' lives."

And even better, Allergan, which owns Latisse, will double each donation made through the Latisse Challenge until the end of October with a maximum donation of $250,000.

Nice!

Claire Danes Gets A Job

wenn54340714.jpg

Is Latisse really that desperate for a celebrity endorsement that they'd settle with Claire Danes?

Seems that way.

The company which has featured Brooke Shields' as their spokesperson, has just announced that Danes will be the new gal hawking the lash grower product.

Latisse, which is FDA-approved, claims that after 8 weeks of use, half of their customers see longer and fuller lashes.

Though according to the site's warning message, using Latisse:

May cause eyelid skin darkening which may be reversible, and there is potential for increased brown iris pigmentation which is likely to be permanent. There is a potential for hair growth to occur in areas where LATISSE solution comes in repeated contact with skin surfaces. If you develop or experience any eye problems or have eye surgery, consult your doctor immediately about continued use of LATISSE. The most common side effects after using LATISSE solution are an itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness.

Nice results, but is it really worth all the possible side effects?
