Last March, the University of Oklahoma chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon was shut down after a video surfaced online showing members singing an extremely racist chant.
After a year-long investigation by the fraternity, SAE has found that five additional groups were familiar with the lynching chant in question.

According to the national organization's findings, five chapters — which it did not identify — acknowledged hearing the chant within the past five years.

The fallout over a racist fraternity video continues.
Over the weekend, members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter at the University of Oklahoma were caught on tape singing a racist chant. Members of the predominantly white fraternity were heard saying the n-word and "you can hang 'em from a tree."
The university president and SAE's national headquarters in Illinois both shut down the chapter after the video was released. The university officially severed all ties with the fraternity on Monday.

On Tuesday, more dramatic actions were taken, with two of the students identified as leading the chants in the video getting expelled. The frat house (pictured above) was also closed.
