We previously mentioned that Ian McKellen has prostate cancer!

We even had quotes of him saying he's had it for a while now, six or seven years!

That is all apparently false.

Well, mostly false at least.

McKellen's agent spoke out on the story that was circulating the internet, and said:

Sir Ian McKellen has been living with prostate cancer for several years now!!

If he actively has cancer, it's amazing he was able to reprise his role as Gandalf in The Hobbit.

Regular exams are apparently enough to keep it in check.

Sir Ian McKellen went to a special meet-and-greet event for the charity Step Forward.

Step Forward is an organization that provides free and confidential services to young people, 11 to 25, living in and near Tower Hamlets in East London.

McKellen is a patron of the charity, so he gladly spent an evening meeting the Step Forward team.
