Don't expect Gisele Bundchen to appear in Marc Jacobs' "Proctect The Skin You're In" campaign because she refuses to use sunscreen with synthetic ingredients.
The supermodel said at the launch of her organic skincare line Sejaa: "I cannot put this poison on my skin. I do not use anything synthetic."
And surprise, surprise! Faster than you could say 'skin cancer', dermatologists leaped at the opportunity to condemn the supermodel's comment.
The head of Brazil's National Cancer Institute argued:
"Sunscreen prevents damage to the skin and is of fundamental importance for the prevention of cancer. This is not any poison, when a public person makes a statement like this, it creates confusion."
We have a feeling there's more to what Gisele had to say since her skincare line uses natural ingredients.
Besides, she's a model! Why would she want to damage her beautiful money making skin?
