Katie Couric is leaving news behind her in favor of hosting a daytime talk show and we've got the first promo (above).

If this is any indication of what we'll be seeing when Katie premieres September 10, then it looks like there will be a lot of smiling, hugging, high-fiving, smiling, taking books off of shelves, playing with dogs, smiling, taking pictures with random people on the street, greeting children, day drinking, and smiling.

There also may be some inappropriate touching because we're pretty sure that little kid wearing hipster glasses grazes her boob with his hand at the 10 second mark. LOL!

The super happy promo doesn't exactly do any justice for the show's content, but we hear it will feature various celebs, authors, experts and "everyday people with extraordinary stories."

Sounds like an inneresting time! Let's hope it takes off!

Lots of folks profited from the royal wedding, so why shouldn't Kim profit from hers? LOLz!

We've been hearing LOTS about Kim Kardashian's wedding, which is apparently happening in about two months, and now we've learned that Kim is making some serious $$$ just from being engaged!

Yep. We've learned that Kim has sold exclusive engagement party photos to People for $300,000!!!! Wowsa!

For 300K, they better be some wild part-ay photos! We wanna see pics of Kim K and Kris Humphries doing the Macarena while simultaneously feeding each other cake as fireworks are going off in the background that spell out their names!!!

OR we suppose some photos of everyone smiling and drinking champagne would be nice too. Ha!

Hey Bronx! How ya doing, buddy?!

We actually haven't seen much of the little guy since his parents, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, announced that they were getting a divorce and we were starting to get a little concerned. However, he seems perfectly fine, gingerly being held in his mother's arms as the two enjoy the launch party of Lucky Kids Magazine.

You don't look too bad yourself, AshSim. Nice to see you smiling!
