Smurfette Has Banged Chicks!

smurfette-smurfed-a-girl-and-she-liked-it

We're sure she got the part based on more than just the opportunity to make a tongue-in-cheek shout-out to her own song! LOLz!

As we've reported, Katy Perry will be providing the voice of Smurfette in the upcoming movie adaptation of the cartoon The Smurfs, and apparently, she'll be referencing her break-out smash, I Kissed a Girl, during the film at some point by claiming:

Smurfette Goes High Fashion In Harper's Bazaar

Anne Hathaway may have gotten the cover, but Smurfette is werking it like no one's business inside the August issue of Harper's Bazaar.

The blue diva strikes a pose in some of the hottest accessories for fall from Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, and Louis Vuitton.

They should let her out of the village more often.

Are The Smurfs Racist Anti-Semites?!

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & True

Holy shiz!

The Smurfs?! REALLY?!

Check out this clip (above) of French sociologist and author Antoine Buéno, who asserts in his new book "Le Petit Livre Bleu," that seemingly innocent cartoon is actually filled with HOriffic racial propaganda, and as he explains, "the embodiment of a totalitarian utopia, steeped in Stalinism and Nazism."

Apparently, Papa Smurf is not only an authoritarian, and the way he runs their collective "economy" with no private property is a metaphor for a socialist society. Meanwhile, the villainous Gargamel is actually just a caricuture of Jewish people, and Smurfette represents aryan perfection!

He concludes:

"The first comic strip, 'The Black Smurfs,' was intimately concerned with what you might classify as a racial threat. Because in that album, the smurfs are sick. And when they're sick, they don't turn purple or red or anything like that, they become black. And when they become black, they lose all trace of intelligence. THey become completely moronic. And further more, they can no longer speak, they just go 'nyap nyap nyap.'"

Well, you can't argue that he's certainly given this a lot of thought!

And he is RIGHT about The Black Smurfs comic, which was banned in the United States for its disgusting racial connotations.

But STILL! If you analyze anything deeply enough, you can draw the patterns that you want to support an argument. This one just happens to make some pretty inneresting ones!

We're not really sure what to think??

How about U? Do U agree with Antoine Buéno??

Smurfs Movie Gets NEW Release Date - July 29!

smurfs movie gets new release date

Last we heard from our little blue friends, a new super-adorable trailer had been released for The Smurfs!

If THAT wasn't exciting for all the Smurfanatics out there, we've now learned that the release date for the movie has been pushed up a week from Aug. 5 to July 29.

Sony Pictures Animation made the decision to change the release date in an effort to avoid direct competition with Fox's Rise of the Apes, the James Franco-starring prequel which opens on Aug. 5.

We hope Sony's move works out for The Smurfs! It looks like a totally cute movie, and as we said before, Katy Perry is ADORBS as Smurfette!

Will U check out The Smurfs when it comes out on July 29th?
