sofia-vergara-in-missoni-resort-smurfs-premiere.jpg

Sofia Vergara's boobilicious-ness was rated PG at the Sunday night premiere of The Smurfs in New York City.

The sexy Modern Family star wore a pretty purple Missoni Resort dress with matching purple clutch and bracelets.

Sofia went a little overboard with the accessories and matchy matchy-ness, but she still looks gorge.

Smurfette Goes High Fashion In Harper's Bazaar

smurfette-harpers-bazaar-august-2011-1.jpg smurfette-harpers-bazaar-august-2011-2.jpg

Anne Hathaway may have gotten the cover, but Smurfette is werking it like no one's business inside the August issue of Harper's Bazaar.

The blue diva strikes a pose in some of the hottest accessories for fall from Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, and Louis Vuitton.

They should let her out of the village more often.

Get Smurf'd On June 25th And Help Break A Record!

Smurf Day 2011

Break out the white pants, white hats, and blue body pain on June 25th, you Smurfs and Smurfettes!

Sony is, in what is completely a marketing move, but could be fun regardless, is asking everyone to group up on that day to break the world record for most Smurfs in a Smurfing gathering of Smurfs!

They've declared it Global Smurfs Day!

We know what you're saying, you're saying, "any number of people dressed as Smurfs would set the record because people don't do that."

Well, you're WRONG:

As it turns out, fans have been staging these gatherings on their own for years. About 1,250 people dressed as Smurfs turned out in Ireland in 2008; 2,510 assembled in a Wales nightclub in 2009. Sony is trying to break that record.

The Smurfs were created in 1958 by the Belgian artist Pierre Culliford, who drew under the name Peyo. Mr. Culliford, who died in 1992, would have turned 83 on June 25.

Inneresting!

Does this sound like something U would do??

First Look At The New Smurfs!

smurf-topperx-topper-medium.jpg

They're kinda cute!

Check out the new Smurfs who will naturally be in 3-D when they hit the big screen next summer!

The story will revolve around the Smurfs finding a secret portal leading them from the Middle Ages where they live amongst knights and wizards and their nemesis Gargamel to New York City's Central Park where they will have to navigate in the present day to get back home.

That sounds an awful lot like Enchanted

Are U looking forward to The Smurfs?

Pee-wee Herman Is Jokey Smurf???

Are they just making up Smurfs as they go now???

If that is the case, we would like to pitch Gossipy Smurf and make ourselves completely available for the role.

Sources announced yesterday that Paul Reubens, known for his iconic role as Pee-wee Herman, will lend his voice to the new Smurfs movie as Jokey Smurf. He joins an already huge cast of actors and performers for the highly-anticipated CGI/live action flick.

Is that it now? Can you start making the movie already?

James Cameron Talks About Riding The Avatar Cash Cow Even More!

If you think a silly little thing like being released on DVD will stop Avatar from bringing in the bucks from the big screen, then you are sorely mistaken!

The 3D smurf ca$h cow will be released on Thursday for your home entertainment, but director James Cameron has once again found a way to make some more $$$ - he'll be releasing the 3D film in theaters once again in August - but this time with added footage!

He says:

We’re working on finishing an additional six minutes of the film — which includes a lot of Weta work — for a theatrical re-release in August. We were sold out of our Imax performances right up to the moment until they were contractually obligated to switch to “Alice in Wonderland,” so we know we left money on the table there. And the 3-D really helped “Avatar” right up until the moment that it hurt it. And it hurt it at the moment “Alice” and then “How to Train Your Dragon” and “Clash of the Titans” came in and sucked up all the 3-D screens. We went from declining 8% a week to declining 50%. Clearly, it wasn’t market forces directly; it was the availability of theaters. So we’re going to wait until there’s a time to come back in, inject the new footage into the mix and see if we can interest people in the “Avatar” experience in theaters.

It’ll be interesting because it’ll be on DVD by then, but I think “Avatar” is kind of a unique category where people are enjoying the unique theatrical experience even though they may have seen it on the small screen. They want to have that immersive, transportive experience. “2001: A Space Odyssey” played for three years at the Loews cinema in Toronto. I remember that. It just kept playing. People wanted to return to that experience. That may not be the best example because I think “2001” took 25 years to break even.

He also spoke briefly about what to expect from the film's sequels - yes, he's working on a third:

We created a broad canvas for the environment of film. That’s not just on Pandora, but throughout the Alpha Centauri AB system. And we expand out across that system and incorporate more into the story – not necessarily in the second film, but more toward a third film. I’ve already announced this, so I might as well say it: Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment – a different setting within Pandora. And I’m going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won’t be a rain forest. I’m not saying we won’t see what we’ve already seen; we’ll see more of that as well.

Wow! He's going to be working on these movies for the next twenty years!

What do U think?? Will U see Avatar again in theaters?? Thoughts on sequels??
