Jennifer Aniston was goofing around with Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres on TV today when something most unexpected happened!

As the three spoofed soaps, Jen — dressed as seXXXy french maid — was totally caught off guard by the appearance of her real life father!!!

John Aniston is, of course, uber famous in his own right for a near thirty year run as Victor Kiriakis on Days of our Lives!

The dude starred in over 1,700 eps of the daytime dramz, so he certainly adds authenticity to Ellen's faux soap!

More than that, Jen was obvs soooo excited to see her Papa! Hopefully he walks her down the aisle soon!

Things are about to get a LOT more dramatic on the internet!!

Production company Prospect Park has just confirmed that cancelled daytime soap operas One Life To Live and All My Children will be revived for your online pleasure!!

Since the shows were officially pulled off the air last year, it was always the plan to bring back the beloved dramas for fans in a paid online setting until Prospect Park’s Rich Frank & Jeff Kwatinetz ran into some trouble when they began negotiations with guilds SAG-AFTRA and DGA. Fortunately, the producers never lost hope and finally reached an agreement today.

Wow! Given the amount of drama going on behind-the-scenes with Ann Curry on this one, it must have been nice to receive this kind of accolade!

During yesterday's 39th Daytime Emmy Awards, it was no surprise to see General Hospital take home the Best Drama Series Award, as its the only surviving daytime soap on ABC these days, but we were pretty floored to see The Today Show on NBC win for Best Morning Show!

Sorry, Good Morning America! Guess the ratings aren't everything!

James Franco is willing to do anything and everything.

The actor became a movie star in Spider-Man, but has since decided to do everything from writing a novel to appearing in General Hospital. Now Franco has decided to return to the land of soap opera and is beginning a multi-episode arc on Nick at Nite's newest series, Hollywood Heights.

The drama follows an aspiring songwriter and high school student who gets her big break when she meets pop superstar Eddie Duran. Tune in tonight at 9pm to watch the network's first primetime drama and catch Franco's portrayal of Hollywood movie producer Osbourne Silver next week on June 29.

All this hard, serious method acting is clearly giving Jimmy a migraine!

Tim Burton's Dark Shadows is opening May 11th and we're getting excited.

It's that remake of the 70's daytime soap opera of the same name that follows around a vampire, Barnabas Collins.

The studio has just released some behind-the-scenes footage from the movie … and its spooktacular!

It's pretty cool to just get a peek at Johnny Deep and Tim Burton working together without them realizing they're on camera.
