Oh yeah! We're gettin' closer!!

SCOTUS (the Supreme Court of the United States) confirmed through its Twitter account that arguments in their gay marriage cases will take place in March 2013.

And decisions will be made "around June 27!"

These cases include the decision made by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to strike down California's Prop 8 — which banned golden state same-sex marriages back in 2008.

SCOTUS will also review the challenge made to the Defense of Marriage Act, and that could mean progress for the entire country!!

You know we've got our equality-lovin' fingers crossed!

Look, we all know the anti-gay marriage clock is ticking.

We know equality (hey, what a great American concept) will soon prevail over the shrinking cloud of homophobia that rains on its followers.

Regardless, NOM (or National Organization for Marriage) hired Kirk Cameron to preach his infamous views on marriage — that unless it's a straight union, it's destined for doom! (above)

You know we've expressed our views on Kirk's contradictory statements before, the ones that aid in hindering American equality anyways.

What glorious news!

Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault released a statement Friday, ensuring the upcoming legalization of gay marriage in the posh country of France!

We're almost there!!

In February, the Ninth Circuit ruled that Californian Prop 8 was unconstitutional. So supporters of the gay-marriage-banning bill sought to have a larger panel of judges rehear their arguments.

But it's official. They're just not havin' it. The Ninth Circuit has declined to rehear arguments over the statewide ban on gay marriage.

That being said, the case is gearing up for it's trip to the Supreme Court, where the final gavel could bang equality once and for all!!!

It's a very important day in North Carolina!

When voters cast their ballot for the primaries, they'll also be voting yay or nay on a gay marriage ban!

If Amendment 1 passes, in their own words, "marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized."

So not only will consenting, gay adults lose any hope to marry in the state, they won't even be able to enjoy a civil union.

You remember the man who gave that a-mazing speech about gay parents in front of the Iowa House of Representatives?? Zach Wahls??

Well he's still pushing forward for marriage equality, and we are SOOO thankful for people like him!!!

And since one the arguments against same-sex marriage is "the sanctity" of the institution, he jokes with David Letterman:

Gays messing up the sanctity of marriage? I think Kim Kardashian's doing an alright job of that herself.

LOL!!! Aww… Kimmy….

But he does make a point!! The "sanctity" case isn't so valid if we're gonna let divorces happen left and right, now is it??

Oh here we go!!

Kirk Cameron has released a statement in response to the backlash given over the homophobic views he expressed to Piers Morgan.

Throwing it back on everyone, because ya know, he definitely shouldn't be held accountable when he says homosexuality destroys society, Kirk says those who judge him are just as bad as he is for judging homosexuality.

Welp! He's right when he says everyone is judging him too (for being narrow-minded). But here's the thing - the judgement thrown back on him won't hinder his civil rights. It's the judgement he and others spew that keeps gay Americans from enjoying certain freedoms.
