While Demi Lovato takes some out and gets treatment for her "emotional and physical issues," The Disney Channel and producers of her show Sonny with a Chance have decided to go ahead and start filming the show's third season in January as scheduled - but with a slight adjustment.
The producers will focus on their show within a show, So Random, which allows [Demi] the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure," a Disney Channel spokeswoman says. "Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues."
At least they're giving her time to recover, which really is the most important part.

Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. Regardless, Demi Lovato's health is more important.
And that is exactly what Disney is saying.
Besides starring in the Camp Rock franchise, Demi also has her own show with Disney Channel called Sonny With A Chance. The show went on hiatus over the summer so that Demi could go on tour and as of now, the cast and crew have been alerted they will resume filming mid-January.
But now that Demi has gone into a treatment center, that deadline could be in jeopardy. When asked for a comment about the show, a Disney rep would only say:
"The health and well-being of Demi comes first and if we have to make other plans, we will."
Let's hope they are saying the same thing to Demi's people. The last thing the girl needs is pressure from the network.

Since Miley and Selena both have their own, this only seems far.

Sunday night was the premiere of Nickelodeon's new show Victorious starring Victoria Justice and the show brought in 20% more viewers than Disney's Sonny With A Chance!
This is particularly impressive because Victorious is a brand new show and had only reruns for a lead-in and lead-out!
Disney even tried to retaliate with having Sonny star Demi Lovato sing on the show for the first time and buying ad time on Nickelodeon for THEIR show!
But Victorious prevailed in the end!
Better watch out, Demi and Miley– looks like there's a new teen queen in town!
