Dr. Luke Wants Lady GaGa To Face His Legal Team In Deposition Over Ongoing Kesha Case

no title

If this ever does happen, it'll provide some interesting fodder for the ongoing legal battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke.

The music producer has apparently filed documents demanding that Lady GaGa, one of Kesha's good friends who apparently knew of her allegations against Dr. Luke very early on, sit down for a three-hour deposition with Luke's legal team.

The 84-year-old claims both companies were responsible for an unethical accounting trick where they mislabeled money from the King of Pop's music as profits instead of royalties.

Fast forward to Wednesday, the music producer won the fight and was awarded $9.4 million (out of the $10 million he asked for).

We still might not know where Dr. Luke stands with Sony Music, but it looks like the label isn't as hesitant to cut ties with other veteran producers.

Last week, the company announced that Epic Records chairman and CEO L.A. Reid was leaving Sony after six years.

Now, the reason behind his abrupt exit is coming to light: Reid has been accused of sexual harassment by a female assistant at Epic.

The New York Post reports that the accuser, represented by an attorney, submitted a letter to Sony detailing alleged inappropriate behavior by the industry veteran.

Multiple outlets have confirmed that the letter exists, and have discovered there have been "multiple" claims made against the record head who helped launch the careers of Meghan Trainor and Fifth Harmony.

But unlike its situation with Dr. Luke, the company isn't letting industry success excuse inappropriate behavior in the workplace. A source familiar with the X Factor host's ouster told The Post:

It looks like there's hope for Kesha's career after all!

On Friday, Sony Music told BuzzFeed News that they're actually working on a new album from the pop princess!

While the singer had previously been denied her injunction bid to get out of her recording contract with alleged sexual abuser Dr. Luke, it appears all hope is not lost.

Sony opened up about the potential project in a statement, saying:

"Creating a new album takes time, and everyone's goal is to deliver a high quality album consistent with Kesha's past releases. We hope to share exciting new music with Kesha's fans soon."

Since her courtroom loss, the 29-year-old has released a collaboration with Zedd and teased a "f*ck off" duet with an unnamed Grammy-winner.

Plus, her legal team said back in August that the songstress had submitted almost 30 new tracks to Luke's Kemosabe Records.

And, Sony is insisting that everyone involved is working "to keep the process moving forward."

However, the TiK ToK performer's attorney, Daniel Petrocelli, isn't entirely convinced that Sony is serious, saying progress hadn't been made until after their most recent court appearance:

A week before Beyoncé rocked the world with Lemonade, she posted a trailer for the visual album on YouTube.

But according to a new lawsuit filed by an independent filmmaker, the high profile trailer totally ripped off his 2014 short film!

Matthew Fulks, who describes himself as both an indie filmmaker and creative director at Louisville based news station WDRB, claims Sony Music, Columbia Records, and even Bey's Parkwood Entertainment were aware of his short film Palinoia before filming Lemonade.

In the complaint, Fulks claims after being contacted about the opportunity to direct a video for the Columbia-signed group MS MR, links to Palinoia were sent to Columbia Record's Bryan Younce — who has been credited on Bey's self-titled 2013 album.

The lawsuit alleges that in July 2015, Younce sent Fulks an email with an invitation to submit a treatment for consideration by Columbia.

Fulks believes several elements of the Lemonade trailer were jacked from Palinoia – including

Kesha's lawyer Mark Geragos isn't holding back!

In an exclusive interview with BuzzFeed News, Mark took Dr. Luke to task for allegedly trying to end his client's career. The statement comes on the heels of the singer's failed bid to get out of her contract with Sony Music.

While Geragos didn't mention anything about pursuing criminal charges for sexual assault (which the blonde could DEFINITELY still do), he reiterated his camp's claims that Luke has an ax to grind.

Essentially, the legal rep reasons it's not enough for a judge to order Kesha to work with another producer to fulfill the remainder of her contract… he wants her out entirely.
