Grease: Live's Numbers Are HUGE — But Did Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, & Vanessa Hudgens Dethrone Sound Of Music Live?

no title

They've got ratings, and they're multiplyin'!

Grease: Live may have captured America's hearts Sunday night, but did the new name in live TV musicals do enough to dethrone its predecessors?

Believe it or not, Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens and the rest of the cast pulled in an impressive 12.18 million viewers — a number practically unheard of for FOX aside from Empire and The X-Files revival.

Unfortunately for the T-Birds and Pink Ladies, however, their 4.3 rating was just a note shy of beating Carrie Underwood's 4.6 for The Sound of Music Live… but that one was critically panned, so we know who the real winner is.

Grease did manage to surpass both of the other NBC musical outings — The Wiz Live and Peter Pan Live – so hopefully this means we get to see Grease 2: Live in the near future!

Do U think Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan will be able to scare up similar numbers with Rocky Horror Show this December??

Dirty Dancing Is Getting A Remake — Starring Chanel No. 5 Abigail Breslin!

Nobody puts Chanel No. 5 in the corner!

Fresh off of the success of NBC's The Wiz Live! and with Grease Live! airing in January on FOX — it looks like ABC wants in on the Primetime musical craze.

That's because it was announced on Tuesday that Abigail Breslin has been cast as Jennifer Grey's lead character in a 2016 remake of Dirty Dancing!

While Disney's adaptation won't be live like Peter Pan Live!, The Sound of Music Live!, and the others, it will still be interesting to see who the House of Mouse casts in Patrick Swayze's part alongside the Oscar-nominated actress…

We have to say, we're surprised by this casting. Abigail seems like an odd choice to star in her very own musical, especially after her — let's say questionable — performance in Scream Queens!

Luckily, Adam Anders and Peer Åström from Glee will be writing the music, so at least that aspect of the 3-hour show will be tight.

Make sure to catch Abigail Breslin & Co. when Dirty Dancing not-Live airs in 2016 on ABC!

If it takes happy thoughts to fly, we doubt NBC executives are going to have an easy time getting off the carpet today.

After the wild success of The Sound Of Music Live! last year we're guessing they thought Peter Pan Live! would be just as magical.

Unfortunately, like Christopher Walken, the musical was not quite able to hit that high note.

Whereas Carrie Underwood and company climbed every mountain to the tune of a 10.9/18 share (roughly 18.67 million individual viewers), Peter Pan was only able to grab

Carrie Underwood Is Ready For Her Close-Up In First Sound Of Music Commercial!

It's getting closer and closer!

There's only a little over a month left until Carrie Underwood makes her debut as Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music LIVE! on the small screen in December!

NBC gives excited viewers a look at the very first commercial for the live show! Although there isn't really much to see since it'll be a live show, there's a peek of the American Idol alum and behind the production works!

We were hoping for a listen of Carrie doing a few notes of Do-Re-Mi because that's just one of our favorite things, but beggars can't be choosers.

Ch-ch-check out the very first commercial (above)!!
