Ellen used her opening monologue during the show on Monday to raise awareness for breast cancer.
In between making us laugh, she shared that the disease is very personal to her because her mother is a survivor and emphasized the importance of regular exams for early detection!
She then revealed a very special moment with an audience member who called Ellen her "chemo buddy" because she watched the show every night during cancer treatment so she could go to sleep with a laugh!
Aww! Such an incredible moment to be captured on camera! No PR gimmick there, just two people connecting on a very personal level!
Laughter can't cure cancer, but it can help make the treatment process a little more tolerable.
