Hunter Becomes The Hunted! Black Rhino Hunting Permit Auction Winner's Family Threatened!!

Hunter who won endangered black rhino hunting permit auction is having his and his family's lives threatened!

Would you pay $350,000 to put your family's life in danger AND murder an endangered species??

Sounds kinda way ridiculous but that's pretty much what's going on for Corey Knowlton.

Knowlton paid $350,000 to the Dallas Safari Club Auction for a super rare permit to hunt an endangered black rhino.

Animal conservationists everywhere are freaking out that this hunting permit even exists.

Knowlton has tried to explain to his critics how letting him buy the permit has sent hundreds of thousands of dollars to a cause that will actually SAVE more black rhinos, but also how it's okay to kill one… as long as it's specific.

The Namibian government has apparently picked out specific rhinos that can and SHOULD be killed because they're not only too old to breed but they're also grumpy old men who pose an actual threat to healthy, young rhinos.

Leighton Meester And Adam Brody Get Romantic On A Dog-Walking Date

Filed under: Love LineAdam BrodyLeighton MeesterCuteness!Dog

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody were walking their dogs out on a sunny El Lay day!

Leighton Meester and her soon-to-be hubby Adam Brody already look like a married couple!

The duo were spotted out for an early morning walk on Sunday, strolling through sunny El Lay with their two vastly different dogs. Adam was walking his big, beautiful dog, which looked to be maybe a pitbull mix, while Leighton's li'l dog is clearly just an adorable little furry mutt.

We'd love to see if Leighton was wearing her engagement ring, especially since the last time she stepped out, she was going ring-free, but the cold chilly air kept her hands hidden inside her sweater.

We hardly ever get to see these two together so if a sweet dog walk is what gets them out and about, then Merry Chrismukkah to us!

Watch This Bird Go From Ugly Duckling To Cute Fluffball!

This bird goes from gross to gorgeous in only about a month!

St. Louis Zoo was lucky enough to become the proud host of a fluffy little Tawny Frogmouth chick back on November 2nd.

The zoo is part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' (AZA) Species Survival Plan (SSP) for this species, so it was very important this little birdie was well taken care of.

The zoo keepers made sure to help out the lil chick's parents, saying:

"Our goal is to always have the parents rear their own birds, but this pair is a pair of first-time parents and often times the learning curve is pretty steep, so we try to help out the parents if we can."

So they did what they could to make sure the little baby went from ugly duckling to cute fluffy young bird!

The transformation is pretty drastic and kinda way amazing!

Wanna see the bird go from gross to fluff??

Then check out the video AFTER THE JUMP!!

Capybara Pups Are So Freakin' Cute!

Newborn Capybara pups are so stupid cute it's ridiculous!

At Schönbrunn Zoo in Austria, a pair of Capybaras (the world's largest rodent species) knocked some furry boots!

After six months hanging out inside their momma's belly, a healthy litter of three capybara pups was born on November 29th.

Congrats on the cutie pups!!

The little babies are so ridiculously cute we can barely even handle it.

Seriously, don't stare at that pic too long or else you might lose your mind!

Even though these little babes are only a few days old, they're not only able to follow their momma around their enclosure… they're able to swim!!

That's right, with help from their webbed toes, the pups have already taken a dip in their pool. So ahmayzing!

These guys are basically giant guinea pigs and that sounds like the best thing ever.

Dog sized guinea pigs?? Sign us up!!

New Top Predator Dinosaur Discovered In Utah!

Field Museum scientists have found a new "top predator" dinosaur in Utah!

This is really cool because this dino, dubbed Siats meekerorum, is a precursor to the T-Rex.

Siats was around tens of millions of years before the T-Rex and is part of the allosauroids' megaraptor subgroup. That sounds like it's an allosaurus (basically a T-rex) mixed with a giant velociraptor.

So basically just super terrifying!

At 4-tons and 30-feet-tall, Siats is the third-largest

Five New Wild Ass Foals Get Wild And Sassy At Saint Louis Zoo

Damn! Look at those wild ass foals!

Those are some wild ass Wild Asses!

They look like donkey-zebras (zonkeys? debras?) and they're just so stinkin' cute!

Five Somali Wild Ass foals were born at the Saint Louis Zoo and they're extra special because these wild ass Wild Asses are endangered!

They are from the desert areas of Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia with less than 1,000 living in the wild (ass)!

So every single one of these little asses is not only super cute, but also super important for the survival of their species.

Who here likes cute asses? Who wants to watch them jump and jiggle around??

Check out the video (above) to see some asses shaking at the Saint Louis Zoo!

Congratulations, Humanity, You've Let The Western Black Rhino Go Extinct

The western black rhino is officially extinct now. Well, that sucks!

We previously mentioned one wildlife group already declared the Western Black Rhino extinct.

Originally, we thought they might have jumped the gun a little, seeing as how the World Wildlife Fund had estimated there were still about 4,000 of the rhinos left.

Well now, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the largest conservation network, has declared the subspecies totally extinct.

Dead. Gone. Donezo.

Poached into extinction by heartless poachers. Thanks for that.
