There are only a few more days left on the Veronica Mars Kickstarter clock, but we already know this project has moved WAY faster than expected!

The campaign has now officially raised over $4.8 million thanks to its 73,000 backers, and creator Rob Thomas has already completed the first draft of the movie! But given the work still left to be done, Rob took to the Kickstarter page to update Marshmallows on how the extra money raised will be spent.

He explained that the original $2 million goal was the minimum amount they needed to get the film made, “but it was never going to let us make the exact movie we really wanted to make, or the one we know you deserve.”
