Demi Lovato was recently at a rodeo and she seemed to be having a very good time!

She tweeted:

"At the rodeo!!! So much fun!! These cowboys are so strong."

Don't get us wrong, Demi does a lot for charity, but it seems she doesn't know about the cruelty to animals that regularly happens at rodeos.

Dwarf Bullfighters Want To Change People's Perception Of Little People

midget-bullfighter.jpg

In South America, a troupe of dwarf bullfighters have been touring the continent, trying to raise awareness and change people's perception of little people.

Instead of fighting full grown adult bulls, they fight calves so there's less chance of injury.

And unlike traditional bullfights where the bulls are eventually slaughtered for "sport", these fights involve no injuries.

To the bulls at least.

One of the performers said:

"I think Americans may not understand what we do.

They may think we go out there to be laughed at, but that's not the case.

If a little person can fight a bull, he can do anything. That's what we're trying to prove."

The men perform about 100 shows a year, battling bulls to show that just because you're short, doesn't mean you don't have as much (or more) courage or ability than anyone else.

These guys are so inspirational.

You go, little bullfighters!

Snapperfest: A Cruel Indiana Tradition

Messed. Up.

This weekend is time, yet again, for Indiana's annual "Snapperfest." The fest that includes one torturous sport.

This is how PETA described the event:

"The frightened animals are grabbed by their tails and repeatedly slammed to the ground. Their heads are yanked from their shells, and they are then swung around until 'contestants' are able to wrap their fists around the animals' necks."

WTF?? That sounds cruel. Srsyly, The only people that could enjoy that "sport" are the people that enjoy hurting an animals.

One festival participant tried to defend the event by saying:

"We do not kill the turtles. They are caught by hand. You can't pull the head off a turtle."

Wow, really? Is it possible to pull the head off a person? Let's try on that guy.

Everyone should do their part to discourage this kind of abuse. HERE are some suggestions on ways you can help.
