David Beckham has just made the top of the list for the richest U.K. athlete, but that doesn't make him the richest in the world!
Tiger Woods has that on LOCK! Ha!
David's wealth is nothing to shake a finger at, as he's reportedly amassed a fortune of over

WOW!
It's been an amazeballz few days for the LGBT community in sports! We aren't quite where we need and deserve to be, but we sure are on our way!!
Not only did Jason Collins come out as a gay man actively in the NBA, but the NHL has partnered with pro-gay initiatives, and now we're hearing that Andy Roddick & Mardy Fish have joined Athlete Ally — which is taking a stand against homophobia!!
Here's what Andy said:

In your WTF moment of the day, we'd like to let you in on a little secret: Jason Collins, who made history yesterday by becoming the first openly gay active player in the NBA and major professional U.S. sport, use to play high school basketball with the guy who tried really hard to forget Sarah Marshall…
… JASON SEGEL!
How weird is that??
Even weirder is that

Hey, Kelly Nash! Do you have any proof that you almost died the other day? You do?? Well lets see — holy shizz!
THIS PICTURE IS NO JOKE!
While Kelly Nash was in Boston Saturday for the Astros-Red Sox game, she decided to go to the stadium during practice just to take a few selfies around the stadium. You know, usual bored reporter stuff!
What's incredible is that Producer Art Dryce kept yelling "heads up!" at her while balls were flying her way, but she assumed that since none of them actually hit her that he was just being overly cautious. That is, until she looked at one of the pics she took!
Here's what she said about the shot:

Jon Hamm (and Jon's Hamm, if you catch our drift) will be hosting the ESPYs this summer!
We knew he was a baseball fan, but we had no idea he loved sports enough to spend the time doing this. Though, we're sure he's getting paid!

It's weird to us that the idea of being openly gay in professional sports is even a discussion in 2013 — that shizz should have happened YEARS ago!
A lot of debate is going on in the male sports arenas about whether or not players should be open about their sexuality, but in the WNBA it's less of a big deal because the women have been embracing it for a while already! It doesn't matter to them whether or not their teammates are gay, and absolutely they should be open about it!
Here's what No. 1 draft pick in the WNBA (and possibly NBA!), Brittney Griner had to say about it. You know, as an openly gay player:

It's been a great couple of days for the LGBT community in sports. First, we hear that the NHL has joined an anti-homophobia movement — which makes it the first major league to ever do so!
Now, we're hearing the badass NFL wide receiver Donté Stallworth is taking a stand against homophobia too!! He joined Athlete Ally, a group dedicated to fighting homophobia in sports.
He's always been for gay rights, but it took a near-death experience (hot air balloon crash, not joking!) for him to want to go out of his way to support and make a change for the LGBT community! Here's what he said:
