St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally known for it's pioneering work and finding cures for children suffering pediatric cancer.
Located in Memphis, TN, St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. Their founder, Danny Thomas, firmly believed no child should ever die in the dawn of life and therefore no child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay.
The hospital is completely run on donations. It takes $2.4 million a day to operate…
You may have seen one of their commercials before you saw a movie in the theater. A company may have asked you if you'd like to donate a dollar to them. We're sure you've heard of them at one time or another.
And now is the time of their annual Thanks and Giving campaign! Companies everywhere are contributing to the hospital through both company and customer donations.
The companies contributing this year are:
HSN, Dollar General, Brooks Brothers, Old Navy, The Melting Pot, HomeGoods, Casual Male, AOL, Pottery Barn, Marshalls, Nine West, Ticketmaster, Tumi, Expedia, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, Kmart, CVS/pharmacy, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Kay Jewelers, Williams-Sonoma, Target, ANN, INC., Domino’s Pizza, AutoZone, New York & Company, GNC, Gymboree, etc!
So if you're shopping and they ask for a dollar or two, please donate if you can. Or, if you'd like to donate now, click here to donate straight at the source!
