The vampire-wolfy-human girl love triangle is old news.

The next big thing from Stephanie Meyer? Girl-boy-alien brain invader!! Ah, a love story as old as time.

After the sun finally set on the world of Twilight, Stephanie Meyer attempted to write a more "adult" fantasy (well science fiction) called The Host, but instead of blood suckers and furry man-beasts it's psychic alien invaders and futuristic human-alian hybrids.

Well, the film version of The Host has recently started production and is already garnering some buzz.

Promotional images for the next fantasy-book-turned-film-franchise dropped this week on the film's official Facebook page - coincidentally(?) the same week as the opening of Hunger Games - and actual trailers are supposed to debut Thursday.

Are hardcover copies of the collective works of Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, and Stephenie Meyer taking up too much space in your room? Looks like Google's got a solution!

In an effort to compete with Amazon and every bookstore in the world, Google has launched Google eBooks, which will feature hundreds of thousands of titles that you can read on your computer, as well as many tablets, smartphones, and other devices.

Here's what director of strategic partnerships at Google, Tom Turvey, had to say about the new venture:

"Publishers want more competition in the marketplace, and we already have a big investment. We're trying to extend the value of content that exists in the world by enabling people to find it and buy it."

We're interested to see how this plays out, but we're a bit concerned. Is Google still going to let us search for the Barnes and Noble website? How about Borders? They're getting PRET-TY powerful!

In Breaking Dawn, Twilight fans are waiting for the moment when Bella Swan marries Edward Cullen - and she better be dressed well!

Stephanie Meyer is in charge of choosing just the right wedding dress, but Kristen Stewart is also feeling the heat.

The actress said:

“To be honest, it’s such a big deal. It’s such a big decision. I have a little hand in having a decision—or having an opinion more—but I think it’s pretty much up to Stephanie. I haven’t put ‘the one’ on yet.

I’m not quite sure exactly what it’s going to look like. But it will be beautiful, I’m sure.”

According to a new unfair poll, Stephen King held onto the title of "America's favorite author."

He was followed by James Patterson, John Grisham, Nora Roberts, Tom Clancy, Dean Koontz, Danielle Steel and Dan Brown.

Twilight author Stephenie Meyer didn't even make the top 10! It seems the poll only questioned people 18 and over.

Figures! Who do U think should be on top?!

Forbes has compiled a list of the 100 most powerful women in the world, and the results are pretty inneresting.

Michelle Obama is at #1, which should come as no surprise, but GaGa ranks in at a healthy #7! That's right world, Lady GaGa is more important than Sarah Palin (#16) and Elena Kagan (#25).

Towards the middle of the list, there are some more familiar faces, including Sex and The City's Sarah Jessica Parker (#45), Twilight author Stephanie Meyer (#49), and backtracking a bit, we also have Queen Elizabeth II (#41).

It's definitely not REALLY upsetting to us that a legitimate Queen and the star of Sex and The City 2 are both in the forties.

At the end of the list, we've got some ladies of fashion, including Vera Wang (#91) and Donna Karan (#96).

At the VERY end of the list, there's lifestyle guru Martha Stewart at #99, and Dominique Senequier, the Chief Executive at AXA Private Yawn Equity at #100.

The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, the companion book for the series, will be released April 12, 2011.

The books seems pretty straightforward, but we guess some people need a little extra help!

The publisher, Little Brown, said:

A little while back, we announced the mortifying news that the release date was set for the final Twilight movie ever!

Now, there MAY be a bit of sparkling light at the end of that bleak, bleak tunnel.

Rumors have surfaced about Summit Entertainment looking to adapt Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight novella The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner into a feature film after Breaking Dawn.

Here’s what an insider has said about the project:

"It goes without saying Summit want to continue this franchise… Tanner is the one they're looking at post-Breaking Dawn… It's too early to talk casting, and everything we're hearing is just speculation or off a wish list, but I don't believe they plan on using the original actress, Jodelle Ferland, for the spin-off film. It's all about numbers and names — you guys know that."

All still just a rumor at this point, but we’d be shocked if Summit WASN’T planning to continue the Twilight franchise in as many ways as possible.

Aside from Bree Tanner, we’re sure there will be plenty more Twilight to be seen after Breaking Dawn, including director’s cuts, theatrical re-releases, TV spin-offs, toys, games, and perhaps even an amusement park. Hey, it worked with Harry Potter!
