After 6 Grammy awards and 2 BRITs this year, Adele's music BETTER be featured in the Symphony of British Music at the London Olympics closing ceremony this summer!
Who better to represent the talent that the UK produces than Adele, right? We're happy to report that Stephen Daldry, the executive producer of both the opening and closing ceremonies, and music director David Arnold totally agree with us!
They have revealed that

First we heard Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Sir Mick Jagger, and John Lydon from the Sex Pistols were teaming up to perform at the 2012 London Olympic games, which was exciting enough, but this just keeps getting better and better!
Academy Award winning director Danny Boyle is serving as the ceremony's artistic director and revealed that the show has been inspired by William Shakespeare's The Tempest!
Boyle described the show's narrative as the recovery of land that has been poisoned by industrial legacy. The ceremony will commence with the ringing of a specially commissioned bell inscribed with a line from The Tempest: "Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises."
The "Isle of Wonders" themed live production on July 27th will last longer than 3 hours and also features the creative talents of director Stephen Daldry.
This is shaping up to be a pretty extravagant start to the Olympic games! Are U excited or what?

More like Extremely Loud and Incredibly Intense! Wow!
Check out the trailer (above) for Billy Elliot director Stephen Daldry's upcoming film based on Jonathan Safran Foer's powerful novel.
We still can't believe that the kid in this film was discovered because of Jeopardy! Definitely seems like he'll be able to hold his own with co-stars Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock.
What do U think? Will this one live up to the book???

Congratulations, kid!
Jeopardy wiz kid Thomas Horn has been cast as the lead in director Stephen Daldry's Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, based on Jonathan Safran Foer's novel.
Horn will star alongside Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock, who will play the kid's parents.
As we reported back in August, the story revolves around an intellectual, nine-year old tambourine playing kid who searches for a lock to match a mysterious key that his father left behind after his death in the World Trade Center on September 11.
Should be inneresting to see how the kid does. If he's half as good at acting as he is at Jeopardy, we should be in for a great performance!
Thoughts???

Let's hope Lily Allen got her ass in gear and finished writing the lyrics to the upcoming Bridget Jones musical, because we're hearing they've already staged the production's first workshop reading!
Original author Helen Fielding is responsible for the stage adaptation's script, and the team behind Billy Elliot - director Stephen Daldry, choreographer Peter Darling, and associate director Julian Webber - want to have the production ready for London's West End by next year!
All right, Lily, you're playing with the big boys now, so take whatever mild talent you've got and make some solid tunes! This has the potential to be really good!
What do U think?? Would U go see a musical version of Bridget Jones's Diary??

Oscar-winning director of Slumdog Millionaire Danny Boyle and Billy Elliot director Stephen Daldry will be creative bosses for the 2012 Olympics in London.
Daldry will oversee creative matters of the Olympics and Paralympics, while Boyle will be artistic director of opening ceremony.
We wonder what they have in store for us - and how much it's gonna cost them!

Between Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins and The Lion King, Disney knows how to rake in the $$$$$! And they have another idea - Dumbo!
Apparently, the 1941 animated classic Dumbo is being adapted for the stage, but we'd argue that the show is far too sad!
It's rumored that Stephen Daldry, who won the Tony last year for Billy Elliot, was in talks to direct and passed.
Guess no one wants to be responsible for effing up Dumbo!
Let's just hope they get rid of those crows! Yikes!
