Casting Call For Stranger Things (AKA Montauk) Seemingly Supports Claims That Duffer Brothers Abducted The Show!

no title

Did Barb just blow Netflix's cover?

While the jury's still out on whether the Duffer Brothers ripped off Stranger Things from a short film Montauk, does a casting call obtained by TMZ seem to prove the sci-fi hit at least stole the film's title during the development stage?

The casting call for the role of "Barbara" reveals the Netflix series was being developed under the name Montauk — the same title as Charlie Kessler's 2012 found-footage short about top secret government experiments in Long Island.

According to the suit, Kessler claims he met and pitched his film and related feature film script titled The Montauk Project to Matt and Ross Duffer at a Tribeca Film Festival premiere party in April 2014.

The timing of the casting call is enough to raise eyebrows. Though the Duffers didn't strike a deal with Kessler for his project about secret government projects, the paranormal, and a cop haunted by his past, they were clearly casting in August 2015 for a series called Montauk — a show also about all those things.

The casting call states:

WTF!! A Woman Has Been Sweating Blood Because Of A Rare Health Condition!

no title

What you're about to read is NOT from a Stephen King novel… We promise!

This week, the Canadian Medical Association Journal published an interesting case study where they discussed a rare condition which causes blood to ooze out of the face and palms, even though no cuts or scrapes are present. Again, this is 100% real.

The condition, known as hematohidrosis, has plagued one 21-year-old female for the last three years. Oh no!!

Apparently, the woman has been sweating blood on-and-off for several years and there isn't an explanation behind it. Per the report, the patient told doctors at the University of Florence that exercise, stress, and sleep have ALL caused a spontaneous blood-sweat episode. Eek.

And it seems the blood can literally ooze from any part of the body as the NIH's Genetic and Rare Diseases Information Center shared online:

Turn that frown upside down, Pennywise! OK, maybe not. Cuz now you're actually really scaring us.

Ever since the opening weekend of It, fans have been wondering when they could expect the sequel.

Not only did the Stephen King adaptation completely destroy at the box office (beating The Exorcist as the highest grossing horror film of all time), it even ended with the words Chapter One. So now we have to see the Losers' Club return as adults for the second half of the story!

On Monday, Warner Bros. finally announced the release date of the next chapter — September 6, 2019.

WHAT?? All the way in 2019?? Why not strike while the iron is hot and get that sucker out next Halloween??

Oh well. We hope they use the extra time to make the movie truly amazing — and even scarier!!!

Bill Skarsgård Says The Most 'Disturbing' Pennywise Scene Had To Be Cut Out Of The IT Remake!

Bill Skarsgård makes a delightfully terrifying Pennywise the Dancing Clown in IT — but apparently, the most terrifying scene didn't even make the final cut of the remake!

In an interview with Variety's Playback podcast, the actor revealed that production filmed a scene set in the early 17th century, showing the origin of Pennywise and his interactions with the founding members of Derry, Maine.

He teased:

"There's a scene that we shot that was a flashback scene from the 1600s. Where Pennywise was before ‘Pennywise.' And we shot it for additional shooting and the scene turned out REALLY, REALLY disturbing. And It's me … I'm not the clown, I look more like myself."

The scene, which some theorized could be from an earlier draft of the script by Cary Fukunaga, shows a mother allowing the monster to devour her daughter in exchange for safety.

Skarsgård explained that in this scene, Pennywise didn't look like the clown the children see, but appeared
