Leann Rimes Wants To Have Her Own Baby

Leanne Rimes wants to be a momma!!

The singer was a just a child herself when her song Blue became a national hit, and now, 15 years later, she's thinking about making a baby herself!

The 29-year-old told Country Weekly that being a stepmom to husband Eddie Cibrian's two sons is "awesome" but now the singer wants to have one of her own.

She said:

"It does make me want to have a child eventually. I enjoy being a stepmom and I’d really love to have a child of our own, but we’ll see.”

Leanne explained she wouldn't want a new baby to get in the way of raising her stepsons. She described her family life, saying,

“We have two right now that are 100 per cent taking plenty of time up and it’s definitely a learning experience for me, never having been around kids and having kids. They are our number-one priority and that’s been a totally new thing for me. It’s good, but a totally new experience for me. I’m enjoying every minute of it. I didn’t realise how much I would enjoy it.”

Aw! Her step kids are her number one priority??

It sounds like Leann really is growing up!

Leann Rimes Hates Being Called A 'Stepmom'

Leann Rimes Hates Being Called A 'Stepmom'

Leanne Rimes is not a Stepmother!

Okay… she is — but please don't call her that. The headline making Courtney Music star hates the word "step." She recently let out all her frustrations with the word in a personal blog entry.

She wrote:

"Step… Stepmother, Stepfather, Stepchildren — the word 'step' can take on such a negative connotation to so many in our society."

Leann inherited two boys when she married her current husband, Eddie Cibrian. The still blogging, the singer talks about the obstacles of having a what she calls a "blended family." She said:

"It’s not easy being a stepparent, taking on a mother or father role in your new blended family and household. It can be incredibly intimidating. There are many obstacles to overcome. Two households with different rules, many different personalities and opinions that can pose issues at times. But it’s important to take the high road for the kids’ sake and ultimately your own.”

'One thing that I know is, I will never replace their mother. I would never try. I will however love them with all I have and do everything in my power to help raise them in a loving, safe and proper environment.”

Wow, she really seems to love her… um… blended kids!

Our only note: it's a little tacky to blog about any differences you and your husband's ex wife may have — especially when you two had a very public affair.

We give Leann an A+ is stepparenting, and D in second wifing.
