So touching.

Dozens have actors have penned heartfelt tributes to groundbreaking comedian Garry Shandling after he died unexpectedly on Thursday at 66 years old.

But few people worked more closely with Shandling than Jeffrey Tambor, who starred alongside the late legend for six seasons on the HBO comedy The Larry Sanders Show.

This Modern Family Is Breaking Up! The Show's Creator Steve Levitan Is Getting Divorced!

So sad.

Oof. It doesn't look like a happy ending for this Modern Family!

The creator of the hit series, Steve Levitan, is getting divorced. His longtime lady love, Krista, filed legal papers to end their marriage after 23 years.

The interesting twist in this news is that the producer's rep tried to play the whole thing off like it was a mistake, saying:

"The filing was made in error and is being withdrawn."

However, the showrunner's ex apparently just submitted proof that she had legally served the Modern Family exec with the docs.

Oof! And according to the papers filed by celeb lawyer Stephen Kolodny, the former flames separated on New Year's Eve.

What a way to ring in 2016.

Between the two of them, this pair's estimated net worth is reportedly around $50 million, which makes sense since Steve created the award-winning FOX show AND wrote for a bunch of others like Fraiser, Wings, and The Larry Sanders Show.

And what makes this split even more interesting is that Steve and Krista never signed a prenup, so we're really curious to see who gets what.

While the famous father won't have to worry about custody or child support — since their three kids are all grown up — his estranged wife is asking for spousal support.

How do U think the divorce drama will go down, Perezcious readers?

Nathan Lane Will Return To Modern Family!

nathan lane returns to modern family

Good to have you back, Nathan!

We were excited back in August when we learned that Nathan Lane would be guest starring on Modern Family, and we're pumped to hear he'll be returning to the show as Pepper!

Here's what the show's executive producer Steve Levitan had to say about Lane's appearance:

"Mitch [Jesse Tyler Ferguson] and Cam [Eric Stonestreet] go out for a boys night with Pepper and a bunch of their other gay friends. Jay [Ed O'Neill] stumbles in to the party. We're having a lot of fun playing with Nathan and this will be a very funny use of him."

LOLz. Sounds like it should be a great one!

Will U tune in for Nathan Lane's return on Modern Family?

Modern Lawsuit Filed Against Modern Family

modernfamilye.jpg

We HOPE this isn't true, ABC.

Modern Family, which premieres its second season on Wednesday, is in the midst of a lawsuit filed by Martin Alexander, who claims that defendants "illegally copied and/or created" the show based on his "copyrighted work."

In the complaint he filed, he described a pilot he wrote, Loony Ben, which is VERY similar to Modern Family. Here's what the complaint said about it:

"Mr. Alexander began circulating [his] work throughout Hollywood and Los Angeles, California and in New York, submitting it to agents, producers, directors, production companies, networks, network executives, and contests."

One point that seems to make his case increasingly legitimate is the fact that in 2006, he filed a proposed cast list with the U.S. Copyright office, which included Sofia Vergara. Here are the details:

"…includes obscure actress Sofia Vergara as the stunningly beautiful, fiery, temperamental, Latina mother, with a thick accent, who's in love with a Caucasian man and always makes him do the right thing, especially where her son is concerned."

That does seem a bit uncanny, we've got to admit.

Here's a further list of similarities between Modern Family and Alexander's show:

"-focus on a non-traditional family
-a relationship between two gay men who are married, one gay male is heavyset, the other is height-weight proportional
-a heterosexual couple consisting of a Caucasian male and a Latino female with an age disparity
-a lawyer who graduated from Columbia Law School
-an Asian female with Caucasian parents
-a minor child who is a Latino male with a Caucasian father
-a character from Cleveland, Ohio
-an outsider, a non-family member to whom the lead character bears his soul"

Defendants in Alexander's lawsuit include ABC, CBS Broadcasting, Disney Enterprises, Fox Entertainment Group, Blockbuster, Amazon.com, IMDB.com, Keith Murdoch, Apple, Hulu, Steven Levitan, Christopher Lloyd and Picture Day Productions.

Do U think Modern Family was stolen?

Uh, oh!

Modern Family creators and showrunners Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are dissolving their four-year business partnership!

But they both plan to stay with the show!

Inneresting!

Apparently they formed the partnership to snag a big TV deal, but now with the success of their show they don't feel the need to be attached to one another anymore.

Makes sense to us!
