Well, that's embarrassing!

Musical and television lovers world-wide had a love-hate relationship with the first season of Smash.

Part of the fun of watching the confused musical drama was complaining and joking about it with social media. Everyone knew that - or at least, everyone except the show's executive producer Steven Spielberg.

Steve, who came up with the whole idea for the show and pitched it to NBC exec Bob Greenblatt, had know idea people were laughing at his precious show.

When asked if he knew about Smash's social media phenomenon, the Lincoln director admitted: "No I didn’t."

Mildly heartbroken (we're guessing), Steve added:

Award season is just starting, but Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln is already breaking records!!

The film—with a star-studded cast including Daniel Day-Lewis, Tommy Lee Jones, and Sally Field— received a whopping 13 nominations for the 18th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, beating Black Swan’s 12 nominations in 2011.

Other big stakeholders this awards season look to be Les Misérables with 11 nominations and Silver Linings Playbook with 10 nominations.

To be honest, we can’t even begin to predict who will win. AllMost of the movies we’ve seen in 2012 have been great!

What we do know is that this year's red carpet will be ESPECIALLY HOT with babelicious actors like Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Ben Affleck, and Mila Kunis scoring nominations. YUM!!!

It's official, folks!

The reign of Twilight over the box office is coming to a close!

After spending three weeks at number one, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 finally lost its footing to not just James Bond, whose latest movie, Skyfall, made it back to the top for the first time in four weekends with $11 million, but also Rise of the Guardians, who came in second with $10.5 million after a slow start!

So where did that leave our beloved Edward and Bella?!

In the number position with $9.2 million, closely followed by Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, with $9.1 million!

We doubt the folks at Summit are TOO upset, though!

The concluding chapter to the sparkling vampire franchise has out-done both Breaking Dawn - Part 1 AND New Moon with a domestic gross of $268.7 million!

Not too shabby, Stephenie Meyer! Not too shabby at all!

Steven Spielberg is one of the most powerful men in Hollywood, but when you recruit an actor like Daniel Day-Lewis - it is his way or the highway.

The price for his services is worth it!!!

So we weren't surprised to hear Luke Haas describe how it was to work with the two on Lincoln and how intense of an actor Day-Lewis is.

Yesterday was the 149th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's legendary Gettysburg Address. Every year, a speaker is chosen to honor Lincoln at iconic spot he gave the speech himself.

This year, filmmaker Steven Spielberg will join a short list of speakers that has included Presidents Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower.

It's a GREAT week for our 16th Perezident!

First, Steven Spielberg's Lincoln kicked Civil War Era butt at theaters!!

And now Linkin Park won best alternative band at this year's American Music Awards!!

It was a very exciting affair!

You'd think the band might be Numb to critical acclaim after all these years and accolades, but they were totes excited when they came out to accept the award!

We'd be happy too if we beat out Gotye and The Black Keys, LOLz!!

We've seen this look on Chloe Sevigny before!!

On Thursday, the Hit & Miss actress attended a very special New York City screening of Steven Spielberg's Lincoln in a black and white print Miu Miu jumpsuit that she wore to quite four score and seven years ago.

We like that Chloe is looking twice as nice, it's very Kate Middleton of her, but we just wish she would've ditched the turtleneck!

Or maybe that was her nod to Lincoln's stovepipe hat?
