Shonda Rhimes Could Have SIX Shows On The Air Next Season! Get The Deets On The Latest Pilot She Sold To ABC!

no title

There's not enough wine in the world…

Shonda Rhimes is already a household name herself despite only working behind-the-scenes, as her shows are some of the most popular on television. But her star is about to get even brighter…

That's because it was reported on Tuesday that ShondaLand just sold ANOTHER pilot to ABC — meaning the woman behind Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, The Catch, and Still Star-Crossed could potentially have SIX shows on TV next season!

Judging by the network pitch, the currently untitled law project from producer Betsy Beers and writer Paul William Davies will fit nicely with the rest of its TGIT sisters:

"Set in the Southern District of New York Federal Court, aka 'The Mother Court,' this legal drama follows brand new lawyers working on opposite sides — for both the defense and the prosecution as they handle the most high profile and high stakes cases in the country, all as their personal lives intersect."

So… it's totally gonna be called Mothers-in-Law, right??

As long as this one is different enough from HTGAWM than Private Practice was from Grey's, we'll definitely be tuning in. Although, it must really suck being the long-forgotten cast of Off The Map – aka the only Shonda show to EVER fail…

Do U think you're ready for Shonda Rhimes' sixth series??

Shonda Rhimes' Next Hit Series Is A Sequel To Romeo & Juliet!

no title

Shonda Rhimes is the modern day William Shakespeare, officially.

With Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away with Murder currently killing it on ABC, it's no surprise that yet another ShondaLand scripted series was just given a pilot order.

Still Star-Crossed will follow the characters who managed to survive Shakespeare's literary classic as they deal with the deaths of Romeo and Juliet — but knowing Shonda, there's gotta be at least four love triangles thrown into the mix somehow.

Scandal co-executive producer Heather Mitchell will helm the 16th century drama, and we're excited to see what quirky actors they get to fill Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes' shoes!

There's no word on when the series would air if it does get picked up, but with Shonda's other new show The Catch airing March 24, there's not about to be a shortage of must-see dramas any time soon.

Are U at all interested in another ABC period piece??
