Wow… this is all beginning to sound like such a clusterf*ck!
When asked if he's still leading
Stone Temple Pilots, rock icon Scott Weiland confidently says, "I started it."
And according to him, the
statement released regarding his 'termination' was just a publicity stunt to boost ticket sales.
He also says there's no way they can
fire him… because it's not allowed in the contract!
Interstate Love Song singer explains:
fired, interview, publicity stunt, scott weiland, statement, stone temple pilots, stp, termination, ticket sales
Apparently, dude didn't even KNOW he had been fired until he read about it in the press!!!
Jeeeeze, talk about dysfunction.
Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has commented on his sudden " termination" from the band, and he is obviously NOT happy.
Scott said in a statement:
comments, fired, respinds, scott weiland, stone temple pilots, surprised, termination
Whoa! Rock band
Stone Temple Pilots has fired lead singer Scott Weiland!!
This caught their fans by surprise and the statement they released didn't help much. It said:
"Stone Temple Pilots have announced they have officially terminated Scott Weiland."
That's it. That's the entire statement. Though it's less a statement and more a sentence.
Weiland had been with the band since they formed in 1986!
What's extra cray cray is that Weiland
band, fired, pink slip, sad, scott weiland, stone temple pilots, stp, terminated
It's hard for our brains to actually process this. This is so crazy, but also, really cool!
Scott Weiland is releasing a Christmas album called The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and it's not a rock version of holiday classics.
Mr. Weiland honors the legends of the '40s and '50s by releasing a very jazzy and classic-sounding album that has that old-fashioned crooner feel.
And if you don't believe us, check out this weirdly wonderful video of his version of
Winter Wonderland above.

He took quite a tumble!

But he gets right back up and keeps going!
We're sure his pride was hurt more than anything else.

And probably off the wagon!

If he could survive the 90s, he can handle anything!

This is so unfortunate.
Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert Deleo is apparently so concerned about the band's troubled frontman Scott Weiland's possible relapse that he's hesitant to go on tour to promote their new album!
Weiland was previously treated for a heroin addiction in 2007, but now Deleo asserts that he's been showing up late to promotional photoshoots, popping pills, and drinking heavily.
"He can't got on tour. He needs help… He thinks he's clean just because he's not shooting heroin. But he's popping pills."
We hope, for at least his two young children's sake, Weiland realizes how deadly a prescription pill addiction is and modifies his behavior before it's too late!
