Five Elementary Students Arrested For Trying To Blow Up Their Town's High School — Using THIS Homemade Concoction!
This is crazy.
Five fifth-graders from Clifton, New Jersey were arrested this week for allegedly planning to set off a homemade explosive device at the district's high school.
According to reports, the elementary students — four girls and one boy — are ages 10 and 11 and attend Clifton Elementary School #11.
Police said the group was planning to set off the device during an assembly at Clifton High School on Wednesday.
However, authorities are treating this as more of a prank, as the "device" found didn't actually contain explosives in it — but a concoction of vinegar and cinnamon.
While the device wouldn't have worked, police say the intent was still there after teachers at the school found written plans on how the attack would occur.
All five students were arrested and suspended from school to be released to their parents — where they are expected to be grounded, big time.
While this sounds like a nasty prank gone too far, we're glad the children were caught before anyone got hurt. Do YOU think they got off too easy??
