We wish our high school allowed this!
Monument Mountain Regional High School in Massachusetts have bucked the norm - they allow their students some special responsibilities!
Students design their dream curriculum. Once they're finished, and as long as their teachers approve of their plans, they execute their detailed new responsibilities!
Some choose to take on writing the next Great American novel, others learn how to play the piano, but all of the students learn something in the meanwhile.
We think this is a fantastic way for the school to ready their students for the real world where classes and homework do not exist.

Los Angeles public schools will no longer be serving meat to its students on Monday, and we think that's a very awesome thing!
This however is a free country, so if students want to bring in some meat meals from home - that is totally fine!

are going for a different vibe this year, breaking tradition all over the place! Oscars
The next one to go? Models!
Neil Meron says:
"This tradition of the buxom babe that comes out and brings the trophy to the presenter to give to the winner seemed to be very antiquated and kind of sexist, too.
They’re just there to be objectified. Why can’t we have people who actually care about film and are the future of film be the trophy presenters?"
Hear hear! So who did they get to replace the leggy ladies? Film students! Film schools all across the nation participated in a contest, but in the end there could only be six lucky winners!

Jennifer Brofer is ecstatic! She says:
