This. Is. Awful.
A medical researcher from the University of Pittsburgh has allegedly poisoned his wife (a neurologist) with cyanide. To make matters even sadder, she thought the supplement he had her take was going to help them conceive a baby.
Dr. Robert Ferrante (above) has been arrested for allegedly lacing an energy supplement with cyanide, then giving it to his wife, Dr. Autumn Klein. They had JUST FINISHED texting about how the supplement could help them conceive a baby!
Luckily, Ferrante wasn't one of those smart doctors that would use his knowledge of medicine or how things work to kill his wife, because the high levels of acid found in Klein immediately made them test for cyanide as a precaution — even when they noted it was unlikely!
