Dayum! We thought it was all good between family!

Prada has filed a lawsuit against MaxMara for a slew of things and it's all over a single store located in Waikiki.

According to the suit, both labels and their real estate brokers hashed out a deal in February of 2011 that would assign MaxMara's lease on Kalakaua Avenue aka "Luxury Row", over to Prada.

Under the terms of the agreement, Prada put down a hefty amount of ca$$$h as a deposit and in exchange, was given the right to take possession of the property on July 1, 2011.

Everything was fine up until June, when MaxMara decided to take everything back and needless to say Prada isn't too happy about it.

After all is said and done Prada's seeking "millions of dollars in damages" for breach of contract, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing and promissory estoppel.

Modeling Agencies At War!

This is getting ugly.

Modeling agencies including Next, Ford, Click and Wilhelmina are getting lawsuit happy for allegedly poaching models from their competition.

Agencies are also suing their former clients for breach of contract.

So why is this happening?

The recession of course!

Suzie Sugerman, who has booked models in the past, explains:

"It's become more problematic if a girl goes to a big agency. Because of the recession, girls aren't working the way they used to."

However, PR maven Kelly Cutrone says agencies shouldn't be getting all the blame. She told the NY Post:

"I'm less sure that the agencies are poaching than the girls are moving. You don't see CAA crying all the time if they lose an actor to William Morris. It's free enterprise. Contracts don't mean s- - -. They're semi-binding agreements for people who have the money to go to court. No one wants any of these cases to get in front of a jury. It's a game — time-out the other person and drain all their money."

She makes an excellent point, but we have a feeling this whole "poaching" scandal won't be coming to an end anytime soon.
